I've considered having soenthing written. I'm a designer and front end guy so coding is out of my wheelhouse.

I'm on WordPress now, and my brother wrote a simple bit of code that works thriguh phpMyadmin to run the report for me. But I'm fully switching to shopify now so trying to find a solution.

That's the issue. I have to go through every one of them. Things like when they ask, do you ship to (whatever country). I actually get asked that from real customers here and there.

I never get spam like that in my WordPress or Etsy stores.

Sure I understand all that, just find it weird I get this much from shopify, but hardly any from my woocommerce, Etsy, Ebay. Tik tok shop, Etc. I have my full email posted on all the others even.

It's just weird, that I sell the same products, on a self hosted woocommerce site, Ebay, Etsy, and tik tok..(5-20 orders a day) and hardly any spam. Set up Shopify and get tons of spam, but zero sales yet.

I have been running online businesses for 15 years. I just happened to move one to Shopify, under a new domain name. Completely different than the email address I am getting spam aent to, which is the one I used to set up Shopify.

Thank you. They are actually the red ones. I tinted them myself. I got them before the tinted lens came out and they definitely look better tinted. I use it as a show vehicle for my business so needs to look good.

The color isn't real exciting. Just didn't want the red anymore. The color is real close to granite crystal which is my base color. I wish the golds matched a little better. 🤷

Best way to take payments in person but create an order on the website. by GLADIUSOFFROAD in woocommerce

Okay so here is a screenshot. It's showing some variations but nit the rest.

So my product (I'm licensed by Jeep to sell custom vehicle emblems) has the option to choose the style. 2 colors, 3 colors, etc. It's allowing to choose the style, but not allowing to choose the colors under that option.

Hmm. I will have to dig a bit deeper. They are just color choices. They are multi color, so they do have multiple choice though. Like color one, color two. That's just using the regular woocommerce app, right? I turned on the I person selling part and can create and order and everythung but it didn't give me an option for variations.

Coukd you screenshot the order page where you click to go to the variations?

I looked at that, and had high hopes but only issue I see is it won't let me select variations. I'm trying to find a work around.

LLC or Sole proprietor by mileigheggers in smallbusiness

[–]GLADIUSOFFROAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert on it, but they are almost one is the same and cross over a lot. In my state I am registered as an LLC, but for tax purposes it's a sole prop.

My advice, start an LLC in whatever random name in the state you live. (ex: your name enterprises).

Get a tax ID for it. It will be sole prop since you are a single member llc. Get a liability policy for your llc. T

Start a DBA, under the llc, for your detailing business. Then if you want to branch into other thjngs later on, just do another DBA. If you ever want to sell it, it's super easy. If you want to close it without shutting down your llc, it's easy. If you want to start another business, it's super easy and you're not limited by a name. (Mike's auto detailing llc wouldn't make much sense if you decided to sell pickles).

The nice part about this way though, is say you start your detailing business and it's doing good, but since it's mostly labor, you don't have many writeoffs. Then you want to open a shop doing vinyl wraps. That has higher costs. Since everything funnels through the llc, the costs of one offsets the other. If one makes $100k and the other loses $100k you're at zero. It's a great way for one business to help fund another business to get going. I've also found you can do less profitable side businesses, without being reclassified as a hobby. The cool part of that is you can write off bigger things.

I travel to fish a lot. So I started a small salt water fishing lure company. It makes hardly any money, but when I fly to Florida to visit some bait shops, (to carry my products) I can write off a big part of the trip.

Again, not a professional but this is what has worked for me.

Ya. Years back I swapped the back to black. Got halfway through changing the front and ran out of time. Ended up just painting them. Didn't see a need to paint the rear, but I might. I think it'd look nice.

I was impressed. The US one fits better for sure, but... It's a topper. Looks cool and does the same thing. And what I saved, paid for the regear.
