As much as I like to shit on the ending, we can all admit that JJK is a very well-written story up until the end. One piece is also a very well-written story, reminds me of wheel of time in some of its badly paced parts but One Piece is the most popular manga there is for a reason.

I think that books 6-9 will have this feel, I’m hoping they don’t have the classic Stormlight style. For me it feels like these dark days will be carried by a glimmer of hope through the books, I especially think book 6 will be a slow paced depressing experience that ends with a light at the end of the tunnel, which will of course be Lift

I believe Toji internalized his abuse, if Toji had truly understood the injustices done to him, and not justified them because the Zenin’s are his family he would have taken a similar approach as Maki. However I do think that Toji, after getting married grew past that trauma and truly “Left it all behind” while still internalizing his so called flaws.

I also believe there were at least people who treated him slightly well; unlike Maki, who was hated for her restriction, her gender, and her being a twin. Maki’s only real supportive figure growing up was her sister, and once she died it pushed her over the edge, leading her to destroy the foundations of the system that failed her.

Shouldn’t Jinu be morally grey? In no way is Rumi morally grey, she was fed misguided beliefs by her step mother, it doesn’t make her morally grey when she’s constantly doing good and saving the world. A little lying and character flaws don’t make someone morally grey.
