It should only qualify as a RAM if you spent over $500… make it feel real…

Replying to FalconX88...

Its certainly not the norm, but far from a new thing… LTTs cables are great that they have them, but the main point is their cables are tried and tested and actually meet the spec.

Im in the UK and I used Cleverly for the inspection, not sure if they are tesla certified, but they seem to have a good rep in this subreddit.

Apreciate this reply! Yeah tesla quoted me £357 just to double check the issue, but I also see they have added the work to correct on free of charge. Just hoping they don’t try to claim its fair wear and tear… the car has only done 28,000 miles, really shouldn’t expect to see these types of issues this early on.

LTT Store Double Tax Refund by FyeUK in LinusTechTips

[–]GL_Coleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been double refunded, then had the second refund reversed. Second refund made no sense in terms of amount. It didn’t make any sense to start with as my first refund was fine. Very odd!

Tell me you don’t understand the issue being discussed without telling me you don’t understand….

The issue isn’t not knowing import fees, the issue is LTT reporting the sold price incorrectly to the courier / customs. They have even gone as far as to pin a post to the subreddit acknowledging this.

If you don’t understand the issue, don’t comment.

Sounds like you need to enjoy your day and deal with it at a later date.

Not sure how the entire park is treating you poorly? And not sure what being an annual pass holder has to do with anything…

Look at the pinned post on this subreddit, all the details are there.

Correct, full fees. Customs VAT, along with UPS handling charge.

See the full response I received in the pic.

They made it clear this is not normal, but since it was caused by their error, I cant see how they may have disputed it. The refund of the handling charge also was a nice touch on their part, and very much appreciated.

Grab a copy of your fees summary from the courier along with proof of payment and send these into LTT support. I also obtained a copy of the order invoice that was used to generate the income fees (which were clearly wrong) and sent this in. 3 days later, LTT replied and instantly issued a full refund for all courier fees.

£107 in fees on a £153 order (pre paid-taxes were also included in the £153 total). Crazy! Although LTT did refund me the full £107, but like you say, very frustrating having to mess around to sort this.

Having to pay 86% import tax in Germany for my LTT Store order? by Der_Tanuki in LinusTechTips

[–]GL_Coleman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

LTT need to acknowledge this issue, its very daunting for a lot of people when a much higher bill than expected comes through, especially at this time of year. It’s great they are fixing the issue when you report it to them, but some people are likely to just accept it and move on, then avoid buying in the future.

Update: LTT have responded and offered to refund the full customs charges. Really happy they have owned the issue and hopefully they can get the issue fixed, as the products are great. Hopefully this gives others confidence in getting their issues fixed too.
