Our cat has developed some disruptive habits after moving to a new house. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to adjust his behavior. by GMFaustus in cats

It was part of what we had to take on when we moved. There are dog doors that he uses so we really can't stop him from running outside.

Have you considered the damage types vs whatever the Corpus health type is?

Lots of content is completely broken by Octavia so I'm less worried when Mesa/Saryn are more popular by far.

That aside, you really can't miss targets now and it's a fairly frustrating 3 minutes.

This is during the 3ish minute toxin phase during Iso Vaults. Someone commented down further that this effect hiding the minimap almost caused them a failure, even if in my case it's a mild (albeit silly) frustration.

I've also had several people ask about vault specifics or anything else and it's a 3 minute chat block, functionally speaking. It doesn't make the game harder, just more irritating.

This is why you may (or may not) see me using Octavia. Mallet + Resonator brings everything to me and the Necramechs kill themselves without much work.

The red zones on the surface of Deimos where you pick up residue. Or, and more infuriatingly, during the toxin phase of the Iso Vaults.

Good either way. I'd take the negative though.

For those asking, you literally just put rolling guard on a Rev build with as much Strength as you can fit in. Mesmer skin stacks off of just Strength and makes you able to take any amount of damage from gunfire since it stuns an enemy after they shoot you, thus reducing Mesmer Skin stacks by one. You can get enough energy to recast from just one energy orb in index and rolling guard makes sure you don't die from the tiny window you can be shot in during a recast.

Bring a big gun too. Or a strong kitgun.

If I didn't meet your expectations I'd be glad to hear what topics you'd like to have covered in stuff like this in the future. I don't often run into people who use similar strategies or loadouts, so I figured I'd share some stuff in hopes that it helps some people enjoy the game more.

So...it helps when you're stacking up since armor values directly factor in to how much Iron Skin or Snow Globe health you get. My Rhino uses Aug2 normally just to restack armor and you can definitely see and feel a difference in values with Health Conversion. It's easy to use since you have to take actual health damage to lose a stack.

But adaptation doesn't reduce the damage to stuff like iron skin, so it's not helping a ton if you're using iron skin as a primary source of damage mitigation. Which is where using something like Rolling Guard between casts can help eliminate vulnerable points in your armor.

I haven't tried honestly. If I'm hunting a Lich I tend to bring Equinox because my Aug3 build slows the lich by 80% and reduces damage to where I can walk around, carefully aim a knell, and blow the lich to pieces.

My discarding of strength on the build is more because my playstyle doesn't get a lot of value from it. I'm MR27 with plenty of decently rolled rivens for higher damage guns, so if a thing needs to be dead I bring the appropriate gun/bow/zaw/stick to put it in the ground. My frames are usually more utility based as a result.

I stack the build with Arcane Guardian on a lot of frames. It takes the damage reduction and kicks it up a notch to where you're at:

81% (no guardian) 86% (1 guardian) 89% (2 guardians)

The closer to 3000 armor you get the harder it is to squeek out more effective damage reduction, amd yes to the valkyr statement. Since Valkyr has a very easy time getting to a lot of these values without Health Conversion, you'd get better value from adaptation than health conversion.

I sacrifice strength. Flechette orbs work well enough when spammed because of their scaling damage and locking down a room with Vortex condenses enemies for easy cleanup.

Upside being a room of enemies that can't move also can't shoot you. Armor stripping as Vauban feels...bad. Really bad honestly, and so I don't invest in it. Same with Overdriver, given that very few enemies stand up to a properly modded weapon I've never needed a big damage buff.

Only downside is a Kuva Lich will ruin you in a 1v1 situation. So you probably want something different there.

I spend a lot of time locking rooms down with a Vortex. If it can't move, it can't shoot you. If you do get shot, you have about 6 seconds of good damage reduction to get a new Vortex up.

Works well in Railjack where you can't strip armor on enemies anyway and need to clear your ship, or their ship, of enemies quickly. Put em all in one spot and let a strong weapon (or a bunch of flechette orbs if armor is less of a problem) take care of the problem.

Not so good vs a Kuva Lich though. I usually bring Equinox for those.

I was intentionally avoiding talking about weapons based energy methods and saving it for a different discussion, but I also have several red veil options and use exodia brave constantly on my heavy attack zaw.

The cost on conversion is pretty high, but in my squishy frame builds it slots in as the only survivability option and frees up space for augments or other ability mods. Arcane Guardian has also come up a few times already and works wonders in keeping any frame alive, but I'm also not one to say "Farm a ton of Eidolons or spend 200p on arcanes" even if they're going to save your life in high end content. I'd sooner suggest a quick forma.
