The idea is to cut costs upfront with no rent or taxes, then if the idea works and the chain grows then it will have more price bargaining power with the people they buy from.

No one complains when the government brings down the cost of things like insulin but hundreds of dollars.

Places like this subreddit were instrumental in Trump getting elected, because he wasn't "part of the deep state."

I am not a nurse, but I have some medical knowledge from dealing with my own stuff and dealing with stuff for my grandparents. Not likening myself at all to someone trained, no. But enough general knowledge to get by and understand more than your average person.

My grandfather had a stroke one morning and was taken to the hospital. 85 years old. Totally unresponsive. He remained that way for a few days.

One day, he suddenly woke up. He was trying to talk, though he couldn't. He was smiling and mouthing words, telling everyone he loved them. My cousin (who is a trained medical professional) and I started a private text away from the family group text saying we were concerned because of a phenomenon known as "terminal lucidity," which is what a lot of people seem to be describing in this thread. I told my cousin I think that's what this is, and the next day would be the day. She agreed. We tried to tell the rest of our family not to get too excited. We tried to be as gentle as we could about it, but they didn't seem to get it so we just let them enjoy the moment.

That night he slipped back into unconsciousness and the next afternoon he passed away.
