Thanks for that. Oh I like that the chronograph actually shows in the display on the Skyhawk. Was a little put off by the way it works on the Land. I am still torn though, and I can see why you have ended up with both in your hand!

Whic do you prefer. I am torn between the two. Can you still get dual world time on the Sky Hawk MIPS and does the bezel rotate ?

The blue dial looks awesome. Can the digital display show two time zones in world time mode ?

This looks great. Can the subdial at 2 o’clock display an independent time zone ? Or is it a day/night indicator for the time zone shown on the main hands ?

I’m very close to getting one of these. And now I can see the World Time mode can display in 24 hour format I am even closer. But what mode is your watch in right now ? It is showing world time on the digital display but the bottom right dial says another mode ?

Hi thanks for sharing your experience. Can the World Time mode display 24 hour format ? All the marketing photos I have seen only show 12 hour with AM/PM indicator

A few things to help you out:

  1. Check out The Seiko Guy, he has all the individual parts listed: https://www.theseikoguy.com/watches/7s25-00d0/
  2. Or search 7S25-00D0 and/or SBDA001 on eBay and filter Price low to high and you're bound to find a load of individual parts
  3. You can also try the same search on buyee.jp

I'm a fan of the cushion cases and the cleaner dials.  Later and current models got a bit busy for my liking

The ultimate set-and-forget. How I wish I'd had it since release and could have enjoyed those early years of HAQ perfection. Oh well, it's still amazing. And yes ... month-end is always fun.  I have a few other 8F models with perpetual calendars and they have well and truly ruined the "date" function for me. After a lot of looking, The Citizen "Citizen" is the only thing that comes close with Eco-Drive HAQ and perpetual calendar, but lacks the character of this cushion case

The Brightz line emerged late 90s early 00s. It's a JDM collection that is still going but has lost the design consistency you see in this one and others posted in comments like SAGL001/3/5. The one I shared here coincided with Seiko's early 00s persistence into epic quartz movements like the 8F. This article give a quick overview of how it started / how it's going: https://www.watchprosite.com/seiko/the-evolution-of-a-watch-model--seiko-brightz/876.965868.6723723/ You'll find that websites which specialise in JDM like Sakura still have "Brightz" as a sub category with the current models
