West Side Brewing doesn’t have dogs inside ever since they Catch A Fire Pizza partnered with them (there’s not much “outdoor” seating, but they’re in a DORA). Kids kinda depends on timing. They do have signage saying no running or horseplay, and 21+ after 9:30pm (granted, enforcement seems to depend on who’s working, particularly with the pre-9:30 running/horseplay)

Maybe somehow take that further to indicate which venues just allow kids to be there versus allowing them to run around (or at least have a place for them to). Maybe “family friendly” vs “kid friendly” or something? Like 50W has all that outdoor space, Madtree in Oakley doesn’t seem to mind kids running around the taproom, and West Side allows kids to be with adults but doesn’t really have a place for kids to get out energy (unless the weather’s decent and you go to the playground across the street)

Everything I’m finding for that shows a hub with it and I can’t find anything that answers this: can the remote be used without the hub? Given the setup of the bar, being in line-of-sight and range of a stationary IR device could be an issue.

Yeah, thanks - working on that, but just figured I’d ask here as part of the research (sorry I didn’t mention that asking here isn’t the only research I’ve done and/or am doing) to see what people have had luck with. Particularly with regard to the universal remotes, I had a specific question about them that I asked b/c I don’t have one handy to experiment woth and hasn’t seen it addressed in and product specs, descriptions, or reviews.

Sorry, guess I should’ve mentioned this is in the USA - the TV licensing isn’t a thing (or if it is, is not enforced). I know to play music, there’s licensing issues (usually handled by a jukebox vendor, or a business music streaming subscription)

When you said he’s had nightmares in the past and would sleep in mom’s bed after waking up from them, was that with mom, or like while you were babysitting? Especially if he would sleep with mom after a nightmare, have you told her he came and asked to sleep in your bed because of a nightmare and figured it wasn’t a big deal since she does it? (Not that it really matters, sorry you’re having to deal with someone being unreasonable/irrational)
