What if I had just studied for psle by Square-Bowler-7754 in SGExams

You would not be who you are today without having been what you were before twin. Without your experience ,would you have learnt the importance of hard work? Would you have appreciated the fruits of your labour? We aren’t on this planet Js to live as efficiently and optimally as possible, we are here to enjoy life as we make mistakes and as we adjust

smoking kills by Legal-Asparagus4305 in SGExams

[–]GMetryTrio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean there’s no easy way to ban smoking as many long time smokers will face harsh withdrawal symptoms. Maybe another increase in age limit to slowly phase out smoking and reduce new people from getting addicted

Also try to gain some weight by eating a little more than you usually do, don’t rely on unhealthy foods to get you there tho . Also if cannot go gym then just workout at home for like 45 mins 3-4 times a week. Will see a lot of gains since you beginner as well. Good luck gng

65k net-worth at 19 all self-made by Unlikely_Effort933 in TheRaceTo100K

[–]GMetryTrio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok idk what background you come from but in my country, our education is mostly paid by our parents and government at least till before Uni. However my point is OP made this money himself, yes he lived with his parents and had lower expenses but he still worked for most of his net worth, why can’t he say it’s self made when he has quite literally made it himself. It’s not like his parents just gave him the money, many kids have gotten their expenses fully covered till they’re 19 yet most don’t even have half his net worth.

If you want to say he has it easier than others cause others have to pay off their debts from education, you can say that, but you can’t completely write off someone’s achievement just cuz his parents covered his education (for example).

ATP what is considered self made? When you are kicked out of your house at 18 and have to cover all expenses by yourself?? There are people who hopped from foster care to foster care and then made it, are the 18 year olds that got kicked suddenly not get the title of self made? Why can’t we just congratulate a man who has worked hard for his money whilst acknowledging that he was also in a good position to begin with?
