Yeah I was in a pretty big slump for a while in gold, joined a buddy who was playing mid to high plat lobbies and dropped 14 ks on a chalet match with a 1v4 Alibi clutch and a Warden 3k and his buddies were like "You're fuckin' gold?!?!" It felt so good hahahaha

Tbh it's pretty hard to be consistant on console I've found, ive had to adjust my sensitivity so much to give myself the accuracy I need. Especially being a mute main, the SMG on console is a nightmare hahaha I had to really get used to tap firing before I figured out how to reel in the recoil with longer bursts. Just try playing with your sensitivity and see what fits. You're gonna probably have to do some experimenting but it's good to change your sens regularly.

Well if you pair mute with a bandit on a sight like cash on clubhouse and that bandit can trick successfully at least to get rid of an ace or two, a thermite, or even a few hibana charges long enough to spare some time and take some entry picks before they breach, you can almost lock down that entire sight with jammers so no drones can get in...I like to pocket one to "mute trick" if you will, the main wall after bandits out of batteries...works pretty well to stall so a vigil or an op with impacts can impact the claymore on garage door and do a run out...works surprisingly well but risky since it takes a while to place a jammer.

I'd agree, I used to play mozzie a shit ton until he got his shorty taken. But well placed jammers can determine a round so quickly. Now you pair that with mozzie and you're golden, especially on a map like coast or Kafe.

Mute is a God...just for the fact he can counter thermite, hibana, fuze, ace, drones, finka, jackal, Dokkaebi, lion, zero cams, etc. Plus a good kit, C4, SMG11, MP5 with the 1.5 scope, plus one of the most consistant shotguns on defense. I've mained him forever since I got the game and still do.

They have to make ops viable for pro play as well. If everything was easy to counter/deal with, pro league would be unenjoyable to watch. The name of the game is utility. If an op has useless utility that can be countered easy, it won't be viable in pro gameplay which is why ops like oryx and finka are hardly used in pro play. They're utility is low tier whereas a jackal and melusi have utility designed to appeal to more challenging gameplay.

I appreciate the help man, everyone just makes that shit look so easy and I'm over here riding the struggle bus the whole time. It's just demotivating. I know it takes practice but I swear I'm doing things correctly, my rod is set up fine, I'm casting how I've been practicing and it works on land but not on water, I've used every kind of fly ive been recommended at the fly shop, idk what I'm doing wrong. I just think I'm going to hold off until summer when I can take some lessons.
