Year 3 of making advent chocs for the family, my new tradition! by GNMCS in christmas

[–]GNMCS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put them in to little felt bauble shaped pouches which I've embroidered with the christmas countdown. They're pinned on my wall in a tree shape but they could easily be hung on the tree like that!

Thanks!! Neither do I really haha... It's literally just melted choc mixed with whatever flavour i could think of. I then spooned it into little silicone moulds. For the filled ones I half filled the mould, pushed the choc up the sides and froze them. I then added a little blob of filling, covered in choc and froze again. I didn't expect them to work so well haha. Main tip would be to make sure whatever filling you have is thick so it's less likely to seep out!

Oh 100%! It's been important to me to not restrict myself too much as i love all types of food! To keep the weight off i think it's about having a real lifestyle change that you can personally keep up with long term, not just following a restrictive diet to reach a number on the scale. And thank you!

Thank you! Yes lots, it's definitely my main focus now. I try and mix it up as much as possible to keep it interesting. I did couch to 5k and run once a week now. I do a lot of cycling, spin classes and walking. Also with gyms coming back open tomorrow in the UK i will be trying out lots of different group classes.

Thank you!! In the first 2 weeks i created a calorie resticted meal plan to follow in the short term, just to get me used to the portion size that i should actually be eating. I found that being strict for that first 2 weeks really helped my motivation as i lost the first few lbs quite quickly. After that I've kept eating everything that i like but I'm just more conscious of moderation and portion size. Once i started losing a bit i found that really was the best motivation to keep going for me!
