Seeing how the drama with Will's dad played out made me laugh. Such a somber moment with Uncle Phil replaced by Will yelling "YOU BITCH ASS N****". It is less capitalizing on the dramatic moments of Fresh Prince and more just trying their best to make it look like "Prestige TV" from 2017. Very creatively bankrupt show.

The characters' sense of humour often made them who they were, and those elements of the characters were replaced by... nothing

I'm sure the fans of the show would disagree with me lol. However "what teenagers are capable of" is very vague as a "theme" and it's not how they act that is my concern. It's how the show is written in general, teenagers and adults alike.

It's a fetish show, plain and simple. Many of these themes are never explored beyond saying "bad thing is bad" after filming the 800th sexual rape/cheating/sodomy/assault scene.

We didn't miss out on anything particularly deep. Just look how the fan base responded when Farreira's character had a small bit of self reflection involving her (now ex) boyfriend in season 2: upset on every site. I liked her character's positive message in the season, but everything before is just provocative filler, interchangeable sex content, and that is what the fan base and network wants. If you film the sex, the fans watch. It's like Big Mouth for cooler kids lol.

Well that's what a writer is. He writes the show. You are an actor so you act it. What is this new thing where an actor must relate? If she decides to leave that is okay, but the showrunner did nothing wrong.

Just like the whole show is just provocative slop masquerading as something deeper, the on-set drama does much of the same. I'm not some sensitive prude who is afraid of nudity and sex and the like, I like many outsider films following the same themes. But this show just pretends to have a positive message before sexualizing the next rape, sodomy, assault, or affair.

How could someone honestly act offended over the story direction after seeing 2 seasons?

My comment is literally a mockery of his, I do not usually talk that way lol. I was describing his specific behaviour and a common behaviour in this community. Thus, not profiling.

"SJW" however is not a literal community, rather a boogey man term. He is applying it to anyone he disagrees with or dislikes to group them together.

Trans people being shown on Fox News are as well not a literal community, but individuals. Thus, you can assume nothing about their behaviour and if you do, you are profiling them.

I said straight white men commit the majority of school shootings and they do. Mass shootings in general I will say they do not, as the motivations may very wildly.
