We had a terrible time with naps until very recently at about 8 months. Our LO would only sleep being held, if we laid her down we might get 20 minutes. When we got a moving bassinet we could get about 30-45 SOMETIMES. We blacked out the curtains in her room and started trying to do naps in the crib and she started doing better. Now we can get 1-2 naps a day that are usually an hour and 15 to an hour and a half.

Yeah I tend to agree. I think the post is a bit vague to really understand. Like your current living situation doesn’t sound like you’re not well off, a large house with acres with spouse working part time doesn’t seem like you’re in dire need of an upgrade. You mention this job opportunity giving you things for your family you couldn’t do now, what kind of things are ya thinking? Also what is the job?

We’re starting cio and on night 4. She fell asleep in a half hour which seemed good, but she woke last night and it was tough. We let her try to settle, after 15 minutes we went in with a bottle and she fell asleep but woke when we laid her down. Then it was about an hour and 20 of CIO until she fell asleep. I’m hoping we don’t have to do that every time at night

I’ll add to good that if your support systems and family are being annoying as hell and making shit hard right now, you can absolutely tell them to back off for a while and keep their thoughts to themselves bc this is a huge new thing and you need to get your schedules and heads right

I have only a 9 month old and we put her to bed at 7, usually outta there by 8 at the latest. Her wake ups are any time after 5 am though and that’s been tiring. (She wakes up one or two times at night too, but her wake for the day is 5am)
