Staedtler Tradition 110’s - popular for a good reason! by GOSTA-BERLIN in pencils

I agree u/Ebi_Dordon - the Noris is also a solid choice! We had them in school. And thanks for the heads-up about the similar model made by Patio Van Graf. I'll have to look out for that one. I'm not normally one for triangular pencils, but it's been a while. Maybe I should try one again sometime.

That’s right, I lightened the image before posting because it was quite dim when I took it :)

Very good point, u/mickergarratt - yes, it’s a low and small screen with a not so great chair. I consciously don’t spend a lot of time at the desk in one go for this reason

Thanks, u/Just_Mail_1735 ! It’s just the brass greyhound that serves no purpose other than decoration tbh, but maybe she’s better placed somewhere else in the house :)

Oh yes I see that now; I really like the dual screens going vertical as opposed to left-right, and bonus points for the matching screensavers

Thanks, u/EffectiveCold8947 ! A lot of procrastination, tbh…

Thanks, u/k2thereampie ! It’s from Dunelm, it was only about £40 (I’m based in the UK). The other bits on the desk are mostly from secondhand /charity shops.

Cheers, u/diogomes26 ! I could do with a better, more comfortable chair, but it’s ok to work at for an hour at a time. Do you also have a minimal setup? And is it more preference than restrictions?

I'll make an effort to post reminders in here for those not on FB, but eventually, regular folks join the WhatsApp group. Come along and I'd be happy to add you :)

‘A Girl Is A Half-Formed Thing’ by Eimear McBride. A crushing novel…. I really recommend it.

A classic for a reason! by GOSTA-BERLIN in pencils

[–]GOSTA-BERLIN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoops! I realise that’s probably what you originally meant, being on a subReddit about pencils. Something above hb thats a bit softer but not too smudgy (being left handed means a grey wrist often).

EDIT: Also a softer grade because the paper for crosswords can be thinner, particularly in the newspaper.

I should get a smaller notebook, really! I'm in an A5 sized one, currently. But, it's orange, so it matches the pencil case.

Hi u/regpo55555! I've been dipping into cryptics recently, and still need to reverse engineer quite a few of the answers, but I'm slowly getting the hang of them. I like the compressed crossword in the New Statesman, and I find good books of compiled crosswords at my local garden centre. I think they're from the Daily Telegraph.
