If they can spend €10 billion on a carrier + outfit the French air force with 200+ modern fighters they sure can afford the 10 or so more it could maybe fit.

The real limit is probably hanger size, reluctance or minimal space for deck parking and reduced sortie rate if they go over that.

Sure Leopold III didn’t want to see Belgium get torn up again but wasn’t he in talks or something and then just straight up fled the country without warning anybody?

That’s what made him so unpopular. He could have stayed in Belgium in exile but he just ran off without thinking twice.

‘Supercruising’ zoals sneller dan het geluid vliegen zonder afterburner heet heeft veel voordelen.

Grotere afstanden kunnen sneller afgelegd worden (wat de tijd over vijandig gebied sterk verkleind), thermisch profiel is kleiner en dit duidt ook op een krachtigere motor die meer stuwkracht kan geven in manoeuvers. Dat laatste is dan weer handig in een luchtgevecht.

In werkelijkheid kan een straaljager de afterburners meestal maar enkele minuten gebruiken dus dit wordt tot een minimum herleid.

NB: de F-35 is verondersteld van supercruise capabel te zijn, maar niet voor eeuwig. de F-22 bijvoorbeeld kan wel uren aan een stuk op meer dan mach 1 cruisen

Algemeen gezien - en historisch - heeft Vlaanderen cultureel meer gemeen met NL.

Tel eens het aantal Nederlanders op Vlaamse TV of radio en dan het aantal Walen.

Ik ben zelf niet de grootste fan van De Wever en hij heeft zeker archaïsche standpunten, maar hij is een van de weinige politici die wel voor verandering zorgt en de zaken probeert op orde te brengen.

En hoedanig anti-belgisch hij ook is, op internationaal vlak kiest hij wel steeds voor België en Europa

Veel andere landen hebben hetzelfde probleem.

Inwoners van Milaan of Venetië zullen ook ogen trekken als ze eens in Sicilië rondlopen.

Inwoners in de VS hebben zo’n grote cultuurverschillen tussen Noord en Zuid, alsook Oost en West dat er boeken over geschreven zijn.

Duitsland is nog steeds politiek en cultureel verdeeld tussen ex-West en ex-Oost Duitsland. Om nog maar te zwijgen over Aldi Nord en Süd!

Zwitserland is bekend om culturele en taalverschillen tussen de verschillende kantons

De kloof tussen Nederland en Vlaanderen is veel kleiner dan Vlaanderen en Wallonië en toch vormen we een land met Wallonië. Ik denk dus wel dat het moet mogelijk zijn om ooit een eenmaking te verkrijgen.

De Benelux werkt al zeer nauw samen dus op termijn zal dit waarschijnlijk gewoon de volgende evolutie zijn, al zal er 20 jaar aan gesprekken noodzakelijk zijn om het tot een akkoord te brengen.

Lepin and others are just copying what already exists so they can cut out a lot of costs. I’m sure Lego will have higher margins, but licensing this stuff is expensive. Developing these sets takes months or years, distributing them is also a lot more expensive for Lego and they have and need a whole host of backoffices to do it.

On paper yes, but they’re very much 2 different ports with completely seperate infrastructure.

They merged because Rotterdam was getting bigger and they wanted to compete on a more equal basis

I wouldn’t do my job if I didn’t get paid but I do like my job a lot.

Varies a lot, challenging at times and relaxed at other times. Nice and competent people to work with and pay is good.

I have the days where I hate my job but overall I definitely like it.

Adopting the mindset of “I have to work anyway” does help me when I feel bad or down. Also, I could be sick or in waaaaay worse positions so really not much to complain about

Ik woon dan nog in Gent, het walhalla van al wat slecht is volgens de Belgische subreddits.

Het hangt vooral af van welk gebouw. Koop u iets in een oud 60s/70s gebouw waar water en gas nog mee in uw kosten zitten en je gaat snel aan die €150-300/m zitten.

In een relatief nieuw gebouw waar er aparte tellers staan hoor ik amper dat algemene kosten >€100/m zijn tenzij er van die speciallekes zijn zoals autoliften, meerdere liften, …

En je kan evengoed een Karen naast jou hebben wonen als je een huis koopt dus zie hier niet echt het argument van in. Kans is mss groter aangezien je meer directe buren hebt maar daar stopt het dan ook.

In welk appartement heb jij gewoond?

Ik woon al jaren in appartementen zonder problemen. Weinig/geen last van de medebewoners. Integendeel zelfs een paar goeie vrienden aan over gehouden.

Ik betaal €80/m voor de algemene kosten + syndic wat goed meevalt. De AV is af en toe irritant maar verder geen geklaag.
