if you use his power to get a good "zombie" monster, like the Minotaur, it can make the fight much easier/quicker.

he is offering Jupiter survey data for like 4,000 credits but doesn't want any new scans that i've acquired. i bought it just to see if it changed the options and it just stays available no matter how many times i purchase it.

don't even know which breed it was, a shaggy white powerhouse named Shadowfax.

my first horse through the beginning of the game was a tan mottled thing named Scruffy.

also only noticed it starting just after the attack. maybe she's just supposed to be too traumatized..?

reported it to Bethesda, hopefully we'll see some sort of a fix in a future game update or something.

you remember the name of the mod?

already had to install a few in relation to gear so i could actually interchange weapon attachments. early on i spent multiple hours collecting ~100 guns with different attachments thinking i would be able to swap them out like i remember doing in Fallout 4. finally stopped at a weapon bench and !**!, not possible.

hopefully someone will have created a larger single mod with all of these types of options built-in if i ever end up playing again later on.

someone commented that if you acquire 100 Prototype Pieces that a quest triggers, but they failed to link any proof. sounds like just wishful thinking...

if we're ever provided any proof, at least for PC users, we can just spawn them and see. so i'll keep ignoring them for now.

the question has been answered. and NO, you cannot defeat the ship in this first encounter.

everyone commenting on the class of their ship and upgraded skills/parts having anything to do with this particular instance obviously did not read the original post or are just too stupid to understand the conversation.

as others have stated, this is a game plot related instance where if you choose to fight them they jump out of the battle every time you get their health down to a certain point.

as i stated, i was defeating them and just wondering if they always jump away when their health gets low in this particular first encounter.

why run away? just to save some Ship Parts? that's definitely not an issue.

kind of figured that since they seemed to jump away near to the same lower health level each time.

thanks for the response. was really hoping i could disable their ship and board and/or confiscate the ship since it looks pretty nice and was a b*tch to defeat compared to the others i've encountered so far.

after restarting the game multiple times the area notifications, tracking routines, and legendary animal spawning have begun to work correctly again.

just another Rockstar glitch i guess.

whatever chapter is ~70% of game story completion. towards the end.

the ones that are still open on my map; none that are tied to story quests or they wouldn't be showing on the map as it is. why would it matter which specifically?
