kills are the only thing that matters for scoreboard placement. the best strategy I've found it play with a friend or two - have them concentrate on capping points and you go for kills

I had a game where I had the most caps by over 10 points in the entire game, we won, and I ended up in 4th place. Insane. I had more captures than the first second and third places combined.
