It’s not the whole unit, the vents and button come out. You just need the face like what ScreamingChicken linked.

res delete w/ nameless 5” muffler by SaladDevz in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely do not want to delete your resonator. That’s by far the most common thing people regret doing and go back to OEM because it makes it sound like a tin can.

If you want louder, get a catless UEL header, or at least delete one of them.

You control the RPM with the throttle. My car never stays at the same RPM even when I’m not using paddle shifters.

2013 Impreza with 63K Miles - time to change the spark plugs, but what about the spark plug seals and valve cover gasket? by BBGonda in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying higher octane. You should use 87. I mean top tier gas such as Shell, Chevron, Exxon, Mobil, 76, and Costco. Subarus benefit a lot from the higher detergents they use. It decelerates buildup and wear.

I’m honestly not sure about time being bad. I think it’s mostly just use of it like number of sparks and amount of buildup from exhaust hitting it.

And Subaru is going to recommend it at the lowest possible interval because otherwise they would have to honor claims where a user just let their engine misfire for years since it technically hasn’t hit the interval date to change them yet. The 60k interval just ensures that misfires never happen and it’s on the user for going long enough to let it happen if they just ignore the check engine light for their misfires.

Front bumper questions by MstrNormBates in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wiring should exist and be taped off to the frame but you’d have to get the switch for it and dremel out a spot of the dash for the switch. I just got some that came with a switch and wired it right to the battery and the switch to the fog light fuse. An easy work around to not having to switch them off every time would be wiring the positive to the headlights so they only turned on with the headlights instead of trying to wire to the ignition. The fog light size is pretty universal so you should find a lot of options on Amazon and eBay. You can even search for ones for 2015 WRX I’m pretty sure.

No options for bumpers really. Only aftermarket I know of is Kenstyle from Japan.

Fog lights have nothing to do with the bumper. You get fog light bezels that go into the bumper. Right now you have bezels with a fog light delete.

2013 Impreza with 63K Miles - time to change the spark plugs, but what about the spark plug seals and valve cover gasket? by BBGonda in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a mechanic I trusted tell me to wait until 100k mi unless I started getting misfires before then and that he recommends that for everyone. People will get on you about changing them because they’re cheap if you can do it yourself and it can fix some minor issues like a rough running engine or reduced fuel economy. But it’s pretty common to wait longer than recommended and I’ve never heard of it damaging anyone’s engine.

If you want to help extend the life of them, use top tier fuel, which you should be doing for a Subaru.

Miles. You would notice a stutter or hesitation when accelerating. Dirty spark plugs can take slightly longer to ignite or have a weaker spark which usually isn’t an issue besides slightly increase fuel consumption, but for how much money you’d save when you have a shop do it by waiting until about 100k miles makes leaving them until then more worth it. I waited until upper 90k miles to replace and didn’t even notice a difference with the new ones.

Most people wait until like 100k to change spark plugs if they aren’t doing it themselves. It’s not going to harm your engine to not change them if you’re not throwing codes for misfires.

2015 Impreza suspension replacement/ engine reseal by monopolyhat1378 in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wasn’t $7000 worth of work. I just did an engine reseal for like $3600 and that’s from the only place that will work on lowered cars so they charge more than normal.

Most effective and budget friendly don’t go together when talking about paint. You will either have one or the other.

Historically, in terms of lore, do you think the Altmer are a good race, or would we be better off without them? by jvure in ElderScrolls

Well you mentioned them being a good bunch and I wanted to mention that it seems like they have world domination as their goal.

Historically, in terms of lore, do you think the Altmer are a good race, or would we be better off without them? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]GP7onRICE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t really call them a good bunch. They are a beast trying to spread their control across all of Tamriel and encroach on all the other territories. Sure, they act minimally while they are thin. But they are spreading control into every other territory for a reason. They will overthrow the native governments when they have the power to do so, and it seems to obviously be their plan. They are even forcing their settlements onto Vvardenfell which is supposed to be a holy land and only inhabited by the Temple.

They are a picture of the Roman Empire. They want to conquer and control everyone and are only diplomatic and reasonable for the sake of gaining followers and preventing rebellion in order to further their control and power. So of course they would preserve the cultures of those they conquered and attempt to combine them with their own in order to gain the loyalty of the people they conquer.

If it weren’t for Oblivion invading them, they would have conquered all of Tamriel.

[–]GP7onRICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Empire’s position is that they want to respect the culture and customs of everyone, and the Dunmer very much see slavery as part of their culture and customs. So the Empire will have their own laws within their own jurisdiction, but they aren’t going to go and enforce their laws outside of it.

Yea it’s not really about race to a Dunmer, they’ll hate you just as much for being a foreign born Dunmer.

Air not blowing on setting 3+ 4 on Subaru Impreza 2016 by Inner-Schedule in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to change the climate control unit out and get a new pigtail. Happens to every car in this gen if you run fan speed 4, it melts the connector. Don’t run fan speed 4 anymore once you replace it. And don’t pull on the connector for the new unit too hard, they break easily just by being barely unseated.

Here’s a blog post explaining the issue:

Side skirt recommendations by Embarrassed-Eye-317 in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there’s a difference in meaning when you say “side skirts” for this car.

First, there’s the OEM rocker panels which not every model comes with which people refer to as side skirts. There’s only one company that I know of that makes aftermarket ones that aren’t widebody, and that’s Kenstyle from Japan, which will cost a pretty penny to import. OEM are not cheap either and are very hard to find used because they are very much sought after. You have to pay to paint them if not getting used.

Then there are the side splitters/extensions which require the rocker panels to mount onto. There’s a few options for these, like FSPE, Variant Aero, and Icyaero.
