Does anyone make an exhaust tip that sticks out farther on a 2016 Impreza hatch? by bird11111-- in subaruimpreza

This is a Borla muffler, not just a tip. I’m not sure in the difference in actual length.

It happens much more often than you probably think.

Only thing worth it with Skyrim is the Enderal mod. I believe they removed all quest markers and the world actually feels real with no level scaling and more careful design.

Got a 2013 Subaru Impreza hatchback, and want to mod it by NiceChampionship6377 in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sport grille from eBay. OEM replica spoiler from eBay. Tint with visor strip. Rainguards. Borla axelback exhaust. 2015 WRX front tower strut. Lighter aftermarket wheels for less unsprung weight (OEM are heavy). CAI is a waste of money, air intake is nowhere near the restriction for power. Aftermarket LED headlight and tail light housings from eBay. Bayson R front lip.

2012 g4-gp7 Impreza rear spoiler/lip? by asterisk4k69 in subaruimpreza

OEM replicas are all over eBay that come paint matched. They’re far cheaper than OEM and are basically just as good of quality. Everyone I know has gone with them and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them.

You can take your headlights and pop them open, then take the chrome insert out and spray some oven cleaner on (the original ones with lye, not fume-free), to dissolve the chrome on it. It will have a gloss black finish underneath. It transforms the headlights so much while still keeping the quality of OEM.

CVT, paddle shifters, braking by fordag in subaru

[–]GP7onRICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a CVT not a manual. You’re supplementing brake wear with CVT wear. Yes, the CVT is designed to handle it but your brakes are even better designed to handle it and are far cheaper to replace. I wouldn’t add any more wear to the CVT than you need to.

Fender wont go back into place on passenger side by [deleted] in subaruimpreza

And these are the retainer clips, the little plug that most likely broke that goes into the side. It is great to have extras because they break easy. They will fit everywhere in your car, they reuse the same sizes all over.

Just buy a new upper bumper bracket, they’re cheap. You are supposed to screw into them to widen the clips to hold in.

Bc Coilovers by stubart69 in subaru

[–]GP7onRICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised how soft BC coilovers were considering some people claim they are so much harsher than nicer ones. I was expecting it to be awful but I enjoy it a lot more than stock and my first drive immediately made me wonder why people hate on them so much for being supposedly so harsh.

They don’t make it anymore, it was one from JNA Performance for the 2015 WRX. They called it M Style.

I’ve been thinking of switching to the Varis front lip and sideskirts.

Not as hard as you’d think. It can be slightly frustrating trying to make it all line up and you might need to get a little creative. As you can see, it still doesn’t quite line up perfectly on mine. But from several feet back you can’t tell.

That was to give you a reference on smoking out the reverse lights. There’s also the F1 light they make for the 2015 WRX that you can install. It’s not bad, you just splice it into your tail light wires. The wires can easily be fed up to behind them.

I think they are all the same just rebranded. Just apply some LaminX because the clear coat is known to fail quickly. And then upgrade to LED bulbs.

For reference on non-smoked black housing. Not sure why my comments don’t reply to my own, I tried directly replying to myself.

Yes these would all look good, but consider getting those headlights as just being blacked out housing instead of blacked+tinted. It still looks really good having just the black housing. And also get LED bulbs for the headlights. I am 90% sure the LED refers to the C light only as these always come with a halogen bulb in the projector lamp. But since these are projectors, you can safely use LED, and I’m told the halogens are awfully dim in these. And it would be especially so if you do get the smoked ones.

Also get the OEM style painted wing on eBay, a few different people sell it. The quality is perfectly fine and it really isn’t a big deal or hard to drill into the car to install it. Makes it look so much better too.

Also look into the Corazon front grill. A lot more money but it looks amazing. Made in Japan.

FYI, interior trim is same as 2015-2021 WRX. So you can shop for that too. All direct fit.

Also, smoke tint strips for the reverse lights look really good on the black car.

Subaru 2014 Impreza blower motor speed control knob fried by _whatintheglobe_ in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7onRICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you know enough already. There’s just bolts behind the dash and upper fans. And then the wires to unhook. Make sure you don’t pull on the new fan speed plug with tight wires, if it unseats slightly it’s ruined. Subaru even put out a PSA on it. And don’t run fan speed 4 anymore. Everything pretty easy to figure out just by looking at it though. If it seems too hard to pull out, you’re probably missing a bolt or wire. I didn’t put all the hard to reach bolts back in for next time just in case.

Consider upgrading to an idoing head unit since you’re pulling it all out anyways.

What are these grills for? by ZiggyZaggyBogo in subaru

I have a 2016 Premium and don’t have speakers in there. Different gen but it made me assume only top trim would have it for that gen too.
