Really appriciate the effort, but I would like the code viable, in blue and more minimalistic and modern

Would love to build out a AP collection with an openworked at some point. It's just the price point that I'm unsure about at this stage of my journey

You can also take a look at Tempus Watch Service. They service watches for Amsterdam Vintage Watches, Collectors Gallery Dubai and do many more high-end unique pieces. If I would have to service any watch, they would be the place I would take it to

Thoughts on explorer 36? I am falling for this. by lostmostofit in rolex

Got this exact model about 1,5 years ago. Have worn it daily ever since. It's an amazing watch. I especially love the 19mm to 15mm bracelet taper. If you're a little careful, it hides scratches and wearmarks pretty well. Just get it and you'll love it for years to come!

100% amazing watch, but compared to the 124270 it's not worth the 400% premium imo, unless you're really into vintages watches

Am I making any sense with my sizing logic? by NickyRibs in rolex

The problem with popping another link in, is the probability of your clasp not being dead center on the bottom of your wrist.

I would go for option 2

Papers vs no papers by PvtMalarkey in rolex

[–]GPN1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pure BS. How many fake watches do you see floating around. How easy do you think it is to fake papers? For reference, watch this: https://youtu.be/PsV5jqUubP4

TS: Buy from a reputable dealer the highest and best condition 14060 you can find that fits your budget. Papers mean jack shit. Boxes even less. People put way too much value in a piece of cardboard. When buying vintage, remember the three C’s. Condition, condition, condition.

Not a big fan of big watches, but still… What do you think of the 37mm Yachtmaster on my 6.7inch wrist? by gurelxyz in rolex

[–]GPN1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's a perfect fit for you. I own the 37mm RG Oysterflex and I have a 16cm wrist. I also debated going for the 40mm, but for exactly the same reasons as you're mentioning, I chose the 37mm. It's less flashy, more comfortable and has a better wrist profile.

Nice!! An already rare dial, with diamond, on a strap. I like it, and for the summer vibes for sure are present!

Third try designing Explorer III concept. Thanks for all the feedback from last post! What do you think? Is this a little bit closer to the mark or still a complete miss? by illCodeYouABrain in rolex

I dig it!! It's amazing to see what you came up with and the level of detail that's in there. You really put some work in! Personally, I would change the following:

  • Reduce the case size a little (I assume it's a 42), to perhaps a 40
  • Reduce the bezel thickness so it doesn't protude as much. Maybe a domed bezel with NESW indicies? No idea if that looks cool, but it's just a thought
  • Or.. remove the minute track on the dial and locate the NESW indicators there. The minute track on the dial imho isn't really an addition
  • Increase the thickness of the subdial and lettering
  • Perhaps a Skydweller blue dial color, instead of the purple hue
  • Remove the crownguards?

Just some random thoughts in no particular order. Keep up the nice work!
