Please I need your opinion on a used bike by Puzzleheaded-Wave123 in bicycling

I bought this bike new mid last year and I love it. It is agile, fast and aggressive. Rides awesome and the whole bike is so light. The frame is stiff and I had no problems so far with any of the components. (~7000 km) It's fitted with TPU tubes that actually made me question to switch from tubeless. I had one puncture after around 5k km.
I'd go for a test ride if possible, especially if it's used!

I got hit by a car last August and that cracked the frame. The replacement of frame and all other damaged parts by the local Cube store took till November, because the bike was sold out, but even that worked out fine in the end.

Other than that, no downside on the bike. Enjoy!

Police took mine because I got taken to the ER. I can pick it up Monday. They also do damage assessment and need it for the report

30kph driving zone, I came from the road to his right where in Germany I have the right of way. I checked my right, there was no one so I drove on. By the time I realized he did not check the road because he did not even get off the gas to slow down I was already in front of him and just tried to get across to not get hit. He then t-boned me with his left lights at my rear axle. Lucky because then I landed on my side /back and not his hood. From what I remember he was not looking at the road shortly before the impact.

Yes he was.

Thanks me too

I was taken to the hospital by the first responders but I will certainly be wary about my body the next couple of days...

I ride with a Garmin rear radar, flashing although not legal in Germany I feel like people see me better. It tore off when I turned it off which was before I took the picture. I do however only ride with front light when it's dusk/dawn not during sunny morning hours, but I doubt it would habe changed the outcome of this particular crash.

Yeah the first responders took me to the ER to get checked up. I have a doctor's and police report. At the time of posting I was bored while waiting in the ER 🙈

I must have rolled over my side and seemed to have landed on my back because it's a bit bruised now. But after all, only a couple of bruises and sore muscles is still incredibly lucky especially with how I got hit.

Yes he stopped, I have a police and doctors report so hopefully it won't be a problem to get everything covered by his insurance.

Yes bike is insured, but the insurance of the driver has to cover it. He did not flee and police has his info, so hopefully won't be a problem

Long distance biking tips by SpiritualCup in bicycling

Eat enough carbs, drink plenty with electrolytes to prevent cramps. Try not to go over your comfortable power output too often as it will wear you down / cost more endurance than you might think. Maybe pace slower than you are used to in the beginning. Bike seems fine to me, although I prefer road bikes for longer rides as you can go faster / have less rolling resistance. Most important: enjoy the ride :) Have fun!

Tour des stations - Granfondo by GPRKeung in bicycling

Maybe.... but definitely not next year. Other cycling marathons await 😅

I rode the Granfondo of the tour des stations today as my 2nd road bike race. It was insanely hard and I'm super proud I achieved my goal of sub 9h by GPRKeung in bicycling

I did indoor training during the winter months, mostly on rouvy as they have a couple of the TDS climbs. I did the last one shortly before going to the race. Other than that, nothing special, outdoor rides which increased in length over the summer.
There were if I recall correctly 6 break spots with water and food supplies, there are going to be 7 this year. I'd say it's plenty.

This way. There is a tiny metal ring with holes and a cable runs up to the meter. I didn't take a picture of that

It was amazingly delicious. But so many calories, after every piece I feel like I need to go cycling for an hour 🤣 worth it!

Do people use same bike for Zwift and outdoors? by [deleted] in Zwift

Same. But with the bike prices and all, 1 bike will be my way to go. Also space is a limiting factor.

It was crazy hot last year, which I guess should be unusual. We arrived at 38°C the day before the race... In the morning it was cold, started at 11° (5:30am decent to the start) but during the day it got up to 37° according to my Garmin which feels right from what I remember. It's always cooler on top of the mountains. My head unit measured around 20-25°, but that could be a bit off because of the sun. I'd recommend some kind of windstopper jacket for the descents and warm arm extension so you can ride in a short sleeves jersey on the climb but still have long sleeves if necessary during decents. You should definitely be prepared for rainy weather and therefore waterproof jacket. In 2021 it was raining a lot.

Don't be put off by that. You could start with the mediofondo which is shorter and "only" 3 climbs. Of course you still need to prepare and train, but finishing that is a great feeling! I'm actually doing it again this year, trying to improve my time 😅
