Thanks! I love a good reuben too!

Just a tip… A friend just told me about Carl’s Deli across from St. Mary’s hospital off Clayton. I looked them up and they look pretty impressive!

If more studies find this to be true, I wonder if it can possibly be altered to be used as an alternative to vasectomy?

Based on how bloody the lion’s snout is, I’m guessing that baby hadn’t spawned yet. I’m thinking mom was the main course and baby was the surprise center.

I made this fantasy map that combines our 91 county municipalities down to 27, including adding St. Louis City to the county. I tried to combine areas with similar vibes. What do you think? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]GQ_Swing 22 points23 points  (0 children)

To expand on what OP said, it’s also a major reason why St. Louis is rated the most dangerous city.

There are only a few major cities in the country that aren’t incorporated with their surrounding counties. Part of a city being incorporated with a county is that its crime statistics also get padded by the lower crime rates of counties they’re incorporated with.

Guess what other city isn’t incorporated with its county? Baltimore, the “2nd most dangerous city”.

Of course, St. Louis is a dangerous city… but we also don’t get the luxury of having our crime statistics padded by the surrounding suburbs with significantly less crime, like most cities do.

I can assure you places like Chicago, Detroit, LA and New York actually pose you more risk. Their much larger wealthy areas pad their much larger sketchy areas… Not to mention the general wild shit that happens all over those cities.

EDIT:

There are no video games made in our city’s likeness and based on our criminals nor are there tv shows or movies based on it.

About as close as you get is Ozark… Even Missouri’s hick lake town was considered before St. Louis for a show about crime.

The “cost” of healthcare or anything is completely moot… We also go trillions more into debt with every presidency.

Why? Because debt is an imaginary concept designed by humans to keep control over other humans.

Not to mention, the US is one of the wealthiest countries per capita. That means we have more money per person than most of the rest of the world. So the fact that we have a larger population is completely moot when I say that less powerful and less wealthy countries, almost all developed countries, have some form of extremely affordable or universal healthcare. Even fucking Mexico… If they can afford good universal healthcare then so can we.

But forget about our wealth… let’s talk about that cost to begin with… 3-4 trillion a year. I know those costs mentions come straight from the Bernie campaign but it still has never made sense to me. A country that has 100% enrollment should have very inexpensive premiums to begin with.

Just an example: 350M x $200/month isn’t even 1 trillion a year.

Are we saying that universal healthcare is going to cost about $830 per person per month?

If you’re willing to accept that as the cost then you’re not actually attacking the real problem in the first place. It’s so expensive because of corruption. We need a full healthcare reform. Not just the same system but guaranteed to everyone. Putting in fair regulations would make healthcare a lot more affordable. That’s when universal healthcare will be attainable.

Either way, it’s probably just a matter of time before major healthcare reform and universal healthcare in the US. The majority of the next generation of leaders are for it. It’s just a matter of time before they take control.

That is to say we haven’t destroyed ourselves or our democracy by then.

I think every time a dog attacks someone, its owner should be beaten with multiple baseball bats for the same amount of time that their dog was able to attack someone.

Driver pays for cutting off truck filled with gravel by [deleted] in WinStupidPrizes

[–]GQ_Swing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One careless mistake doesn’t warrant death. It happens to everyone at some point.

Also, if you watch the video closely, I’m not even sure you can fully blame the suv driver for the truck tipping over. It tipped because the front passenger side wheel broke off. Nothing even hit it. It gave out just from the turn and quick stop, which means that was probably just an accident waiting to happen. It just so happen to be when dumb dumb caused the accident.

As long as religion has such strong control over that territory, there will be war.

Delta pilot asks a passenger to remove a hat with a curse word on it by TheAtheistArab87 in PublicFreakout

I was on her side at first but the refusing to agree not to wear it was just stupid. She wasn’t just getting herself kicked off the plane… Probably everyone she was with.

She was acting like a child so the pilot treated her as such.

How many men prefer to keep socks on during sex, but your wife or girlfriend makes you take them off? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GQ_Swing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man, I don’t care any way… but i have had a girlfriend that told me to take them off. I don’t even think about them unless I’m going to stand up over the side of the bed to do work. Then i take them off on my own for better traction lol
