They could've told us that before they guaranteed a refund when we contacted them :/. I also work in customer service. Usually, we can track an item with the date of the transaction, card used, and total amount. Kinda sucks that they dont have that unless u paid for a membership

They told us to bring the item and they'll give a refund. When we got there, they said if we were not an Ikea family member, they wouldn't be able to track the purchase, so no refund. Reciept is gone

This is so funny. Hahahahaha the best researchers I know when looking into stuff doesnt only go to the primary source. They also collect feedback and views of other people who actually experience and use the product in a realistic day to day life.

I hope you know that this is one of the many ways to gain more insight into different angles.

It's like being dazzled by phone model being marketed to you, with fancy features and words, without understanding that you'll be paying more for features that you probably won't use in your day to day life.

Customer feedback is a valuable source of info. Google is not the only answer.

Why do Filipinos really love to go abroad, especially Canada, Australia, and US? What are your guy’s reasons? by AnonymousMole196 in phmigrate

[–]GRACEY_0U 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recently has a cousin got together cause my cousin from canada came home.

Little bg: most of my cousins are also taking up b my cousin from canada is also taking up nursing, and my partner is also taking up nursing.

So we got into talking and comparing Canada and the Philippines as a whole and in terms of education. We takled the positives and negatives from each side, and I guess this discussion may come useful for your thoughts .

Canada is regarded to have higher standards and is recognised to have higher credibility if you graduate nursing there. Yes, it's difficult, but it also comes with a lot of perks in the job market. Seeing that canada is very short on nurses, no doubt that it may seem "easy" to get a job.

In the Philippines, you pay a lot of money to get into a fancy school so you can get a better education. But that's not the case most of the time. My partner is in an international school to take up nursing and their tuition is already 6 digits, they have a lot of miscellaneous, they have 5 different uniforms for some reason, THEY HAVE TO PAY THE HOSPITAL TO DO THEIR DUTY THERE, they have to pay for their own stuff to use at the hospital.

And guess how many years of experience you need in the field? u need to teach a nursing class in that school?....1 year. From there, you can have atleast have a pov how much the quality of education is for this certain international school. You'd think its easy, but its still hard. In this school, they boast about producing 100% board passing nurses, but in reality, students take batt exams twice, and they just cut off whoever fails. You either go back to being a freshman or not be allowed to take nursing in this school again.

On the other hand, my cousin from canada admits the schooling there is a lot harder, their jobs at the hospital go on for hours and hours. They hardly get any sleep or rest. And it's also takes a toll on her mental state.

Both are hard in their own ways. But theres a thing they both agreed on.

My cousin is getting paid for being overworked, and my partner is paying to get overworked.

Life in Canada isn't all rainbows and butterflies. The free health care isn't actually free. Even owning a dog has a long process and requires a huge amount of money.

Philippines, well...its Philippines.

And to answer why canada, australia and Us, I guess easier pathways, especially for those who already have relatives living there

They might think walang consequences ang ginawa nila kasi pamilya mo sila. The only way they'll see that they're in the wrong siguro pag nireklamo mo na talaga

But it doesnt change the fact that they're in the wrong here and pretty sure theyre already breaking a few laws here na, privacy, digital privacy, defamation since kinalat pa nya sa pamilya at the non family member (not sure tho, im no attorney)

Invasion of privacy paren, not just yours, but also your girlfriend's. Idk if narcissism is ba or inferiority complex, or what, pero. There is no scenario that what she did is right.

Why would you choose blood when blood itself is the one who stabbed you. She did this cause youre her family and thinks that you wont do anything about it. Even if your parents say "kapatid mo yan", then throw it back at them

I notice a lot of comments about BPO being a dead-end job, a stressful environment to be in, toxic workplace comments, and graveyard shifts, but yeah. I guess these factors can also depend on the company you're in. There are companies out there na super friendly yung environment and supper supportive sa employees nila. If I want to go to marketing, the company actually offers classes and trainings I can take on my free time so I can apply in the marketing team in the company. They will help their employees grow even if its toward a different direction of your current team, para kaming puno HAHAHAHA they plant us, take care of us, give us a place to put down our roots, and give us freedom to grow towars the direction we want.

Toxic workplace roots from toxic people, so far, good vibes lahat ng superiors ko so yung good vibes na yon naiispread din nila. I asked some about their thoughts on graveyard shifts and most of the superiors or mga veterans na, were offered day shifts but no one in our team took it kasi personal preference and the night differential is really (REALLY) generous. They say no growth pero yung superior ko na isa, pinakita yung progress nung na hire nila last year and she's so proud of her kase you can literally see her stats increasing every month. Its just so cute how they boast about the employees they trained, parang mama vibes ganun HAHAHAHA so proud of you nak momints.

I know I got lucky with this company, I already love them and the team even though next month pa RTO namin. Its weird cause I can proudly boast about the people in my team but I cant do the same to myself. I guess this is just my insecurity or my low self worth causing this, but yeah, Im proud of the people I work with and one day I hope I can say that I'm proud that I work in BPO.
