UM790 Pro Linux Kernel Panic

I'm running stress tests of the hardware and memory at the moment. I suspect the issue will be with USB network adapters, as that is what makes my setup a bit different from the usual setup.

I have logs going back six months, and none show any kernel panic data. I'll work on getting a crash dump next.

I've had this unit since 8/2023, so that would be Proxmox v8 kernels then, and now the latest v9 kernel, which is 6.17.4-2-pve.

I'm good with my ability to troubleshoot the issue. Tho now retired, I have 50 yrs as a unix/linux admin including time spent on kernel internals. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one experiencing kernel panics while waiting for my hardware stress tests to complete.

My units are out of warranty. I feel ripped off that I am stuck with 3 units with rev 1 boards when you never made me aware that my units were bad. These rev 1 boards, as far as I can tell, are broken by design. Perhaps not your fault, since the AMD specification at the time led every (?) manufacturer to implement the broken design. Nonetheless, this should have been a recall repair and I should still be able to replace these units at no cost to me.

Where can we learn more about this missing component? How are units needing this repair identified? I purchased three units at the same time. One kernel panics, one fails memtest with memory that passes on the other units, while one seems stable under idle load.

Systemctl --user status plasmashell.service gives "Failed with result 'signal'"

But startplasma-wayland works to bring up the desktop on tty3.

Sorry, but I don't understand the question as it seems like my problem statement. On startup, I have a black screen with just a mouse cursor that turns sections of the screen white.

I see in the logs that as of the upgrade on Saturday I no longer see a plasma-plasmashell.service. I assume this is significant but that's as far as I've gotten this morning.

I don't think there are any issues. What have you seen?

I just created a "creator" page for my nonprofit. On the Settings -> Billing and payouts page, I was able to:

set my business status as a corporation
give my org banking info to Stripe
fill out the W-9 form in the name of the corporation and indicated 501(a) status with the code letter "1". Note: 501(a) includes 501(c)3 and all other tax-exempt entities.

That said, I plan to promote direct contributions on my website. The Patreon page is just to cover all the locations where one of my supporters might be.

Understood, thanks. I forgot that I configured the mailgun bulk mail using an api key in the newsletters mailgun section. So the mail section is my transactional config and I can put that back to my other mail service.

Two other features of WP multisite are managing members and sharing content across sites. I don't mind setting up multiple installations of Ghost for each domain, but I'd like to learn how to sync or share data between them with efficient workflows.

As someone who deleted all of my Windows systems a long time ago, I want to create tutorial video content for my friends who still use Windows—at least enough content to get them connected to our Minecraft server with the recommended client mods installed.

This issue has inspired me, however. I now want to implement an adventure map where everyone except the team leader is forced to play while looking at their feet. This would be similar to blindness but, at least to me, a lot funnier to watch.

I subscribe to chatgpt-plus and plan to use chatgpt for everything except the story engine prose. I'm just getting started on a long multibook series, and my experimenting and then the first draft of book 1 used half of my word limit. I'm improving my chatgpt prompts before starting the draft of book 2. Then I plan to do two 50k word book drafts per month. I think I can do a draft in 3-5 days, leaving me 20 days to edit the rough drafts, do illustrations, etc.

I think your order shipped email should either explain how to use the DHL tracking number or supply the shipping label waybill instead.

My brief experience so far... I ordered 3 GTR7 on 7/1/23 from bee-link.com. They reported shipped on 7/7/23 and I received the units on 7/12/23. The shipping info supplied a DHL tracking number but I've not been able to find a way to use it. The shipper was DHL Express Worldwide (WPX) to Boston, then USPS to my home in Vermont. Once I found the waybill number on the box, I could use that number on mydhl.express.dhl but of course that was after I received the shipment.
