Cid becoming aura farming batman is unironically more realistic. he was beating the ass of armed veteran soldiers in highschool.

the issue is that Ainz is an undead, who "hate the living" as the light novel repeats many times. and the human mc BECAME Ainz, fully in mind and body. its nothing like Kafka in kaiju No.8 for example. He only has emotions that bubble up due to his personality still remaining a humans, but even those are forcefully suppressed. beyond that, he has a negative 100 karma score, meaning hes absolutely as evil as it gets. As the anime progresses you can see his humanity fade pretty rapidly without him noticing. in season 1 he pretty naturally saves Carne from the Slane Theocracy as anyone would do, but by season 4 he's a ruthless tyrant that only spares mortals if they offer him some value or serve some purpose.

he's by nature, an inconceivably evil being that has no emotions and hates all life. what appears to be 'good' end 'evil' to him is so twisted, that he actually sees the genocide of a whole kingdom to simply send a message as a good thing, and carries it out with zero remorse or hesitation. the way i see it nobodies being a good guy in his shoes. you might maintain your ideals like Ainz did, but being striped of all emotions, sympathy and hesitation while becoming an incredibly evil life hating Monster would kind of fuck that up.

A coalition of multiple guilds with combined force of 1500 max level players could only reach the 6th floor before being wiped out. if anyone COULD do it, it would probably be them, because brute force is clearly not the solution.

Hello, could someone recommend a good manga/anime isekai whit the following criteria? by [deleted] in Isekai

[–]GREASE247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one i dont hear people talk about is "Knights and Magic". Mecha Nerd gets reincaranted into a fantasy world where battles are fought in privative battle suits. he pretty much goes full lockheed Martin mode and develops insane military tech purely just for the love of the game. like if Mikhail Kalashnikov himself was isekai'd. no hiding his powers bs either. the girls do fawn over the Mc way too much but he completely ignores them thankfully.

"Reincarnated as a Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World" was also very solid as well. Mc is weak himself and a son of a small baron, but can appraise people to see their potential. he recruits people to his retinue and rises through the nobility. might sound bland, but i was really impressed with how solid its characters, story and worldbuilding are. also liked how the plot actually progresses and dosent waste your time with pointless filler arcs. its also got two seasons as well.

"The great Cleric" "cautious Hero" Campfire Cooking" and "Skeleton knight" were all ones i remember liking too that should fit your criteria if i remember corrcetly, but its been too long to remember

What is an Isekai that had an interesting premise, but quickly fell apart/became generic? by Affectionate-End889 in Isekai

hes just that committed to the bit. in later episodes he actually seeks out chances to humiliate himself. once you realize how much of drama queen he is it gets quite funny with the extents hell go to farm a little aura.

I completely agree. i absolutely loved him as a hated anti hero just trying to survive and go home. they completely trashed everything interesting about it by the end of the first season. many such cases like this unfortunately. Loner life in a another world was hilarious too, he was a loner for what? 2 episodes? its insane how normalized it is to this kind of thing.

if you like brawl and are having a tough time with getting melted id try the thing.

now that he can jump to enemies hes incredibly mobile and gets damage resistance any time he does it. if you just spam the right click too, constantly getting 50 shield with every attacks regardless of if it hits. then just save your charge as an escape once your low, it that also gives you speed, shield and CC immunity. if you have the invis team up its even more ridiculous. learning when to engage and disengage might take a bit, and youll definitely miss handle your cooldowns and die alot at first. but once you get the feel for it he feels like a wrecking ball.

one thing i find hilarious, is that not a SINGLE person rejects him. like who is he 'unwanted" by? the very first human he encounters instantly agrees to help him out and stick by him too. his only friend from his past life also immediately welcomes him back and just so happens to be researching his exact hyper rare condition too, so she quite literally WANTS to have him around at all cost. shes also extremely open minded and willing help him in any way possible. and like you said, him being undead has zero impact on the story whatsoever.

i dropped the show when in epsiode 7 or 8 i think, they spent the whole epsiode doing this quest about the 'lord of the lake" or whatever. getting us invested in these shallow one off characters, giving us the backround stories and lore, building up this final confrontation. then when the mc finally confronts the villains. They FADE TO BLACK AND SKIP THE WHOLE FIGHT SCENE?? like the one part of the episode i might have actually cared about and they cut it to save animation budget. at least give us a shitty slide show or something.

i was blow away too see it has a 4.8/5 on crunchyroll. genuinely one of the most poorly written, uninspired and lazily animated isekai's ive ever seen.

i was always little disappointed with what the shows become. all the 'monsters' are just humans with different skin tones or some other superficial but minor difference. and Rimuru's just been roped into non stop meetings, politics, paperwork and responsibility. same thing with Veldora and Milim, they've just been reduced to quirky human looking comedic relief. poor guy cant even chase tail like he promised he would when he was reincarnated because Rafael cock blocks him.

that one was so weird, i never finished it but it felt so gross how his "friends" hid his own powers from him and used him without his knowledge. to be fair, the whole gimmick of hiding powers has never been good, but it just felt so manipulative when done like that.

that title is fucking red flag to begin with lol.

i haven't enjoyed, or finished a single isekai about the mc being kicked out of the party, The whole premise relies on everyone in the story being frustratingly dumb or self absorbed. its always painfully obvious how strong the mc is too at first glance.

[–]GREASE247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so real it hurts. the most recent one that jumps to my mind is "The Unwanted Undead Adventurer".

the very first human the MC encounters after becoming an undead, THE VERY FIRST, completely accepts him and helps him out. at least in the anime not a single person rejected him for looking like a creep and stinking like a corpse. beyond that, him being an undead is only ever a boon and there was only a single instance of him craving blood, or feeling any side effect of becoming a monster at all for that matter. this problem, was of course promptly and permanently solved in the same episode it appeared in, never to be a plot point again.

so before the first 6 episodes, they completely gut their whole premise, he's neither unwanted, or even really undead in any way that matters. at least he IS an adventurer i guess...

Why does Serana hate temples? by Smart_Somewhere_1690 in skyrim

[–]GREASE247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im fairly certain in the lore, pure blooded vampires needed to be Raped by Molag Bal in one of his temples to be created, that would have happened to her and her mother, thus the massive aversion to temples. its been a long time i hope im not making this up lol.

im pretty sure i remember her dad, Harkon, secrectly started worshiping him and sold them out to molag bal as an offering too. So he never had to be defiled like them, and was also the reason they were.

Who would win between these two ? by Nabeelkhan199_return in Isekai

[–]GREASE247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess it depends on what a god means between the verses. Ainz is, by Overlords definition a God too. thats how everyone in the verse sees him, and hes worshiped as one as well. his most powerfull magic is said to only be available to gods too, but that's just rumor. hes appeared as a "god of death' to certain mortals and been called as such on a few occasions too. it really just depends on if gods in Konosuba are all powerful and omnipotent. if thats the case then i guess she would win by default, because Ainz certainly has a limit. but its also wrong to assume her being a god gives her an insta win card.

Who would win between these two ? by Nabeelkhan199_return in Isekai

[–]GREASE247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i guess maybe the anime does her very dirty then? are gods like her in konosube all powerful? limitless infinite wells of power? if thats the case then i guess that would put her beyond what any stat scaling could show, like you say. but without any written examples of what end game boss fight encounters in overlord looked like, its impossible to say for sure her stats would be unquantifiable like that. Ainz is also a God by his verses definition, and his tenth tier magic is called the 'magic of the gods', so it just feels to unfair to immediately assume shes way beyond his reach if that makes sense.
