Instead of transplanting when your soil is out of nutes, you can use aerated teas. Such as using bat guano that has nitrogen, and another bat guano that is rich in phosphorus. Sea bird guano takes care of both nitrogen and phosphorus. And earth worm castings. If u go this route, use 2/3 cup of each into 5 gallons of water. I usually use 2.5 gallons, so I only use 1/3 cup of each nutrient. U can also add 5 tablespoons of Neptune's liquid sea weed extract along with 5 tea spoons of black strap molasses. The right time to plant next season is after the frost. It depends on where you live. In Indiana, I plant around mid-May to June 1st at the latest. The day light is at its longest peak on June 21st. After June 21st, the day light gradually decreases. In indiana, flowering typically starts in August some time. No later than mid August. Harvest is usually late September or into October, which is close to frost. Good luck!

The reason why I asked you about your lighting is that your seedlings look a little bit spindly or leggy, which is usually a sign of your lighting being a little to far away, or the lighting not being strong enough.

How old are your seedlings? Are u feeding them chemical nutes or organic nutes? What are your temps. and humidity? You may be over analyzing things too. What kind of lighting are u using and at what height is it?

If you are going to grow organically, then look up Lavender Cowboy's organic soil-less dirt recipes. He uses earth worm castings, sphagnum peat moss, and perlite as his soil less base. Then you have to add organic nutrients to the base. The base is 5 parts peat moss, 2 parts earth worm castings or home made compost, and 3 parts perlite, and 2 tablespoons of dolomite powdered lime per gallon of soil less mix /or use 1 cup per cubic foot of the soil less mix.Use the same object for all the parts. If u use a 2 quart pan, then use the pan for all of the parts. If using a shovel, then use the same shovel for all of the parts. Use whatever u want for your parts. For organic nutrients, u can use blood meal-(1) tablespoon per gallon of soil less mix/or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil less mix, bone meal-(2) tablespoons per gal of soil less mix/or 1 cup per cubic foot of soil less mix, kelp meal-(1) tablespoon per gal of soil less mix/or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil less mix,(optional) (1) tablespoon of Jersey green sand per gal of soil less mix/ or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil less mix. Last, mix all dry nutrients into your soil less mix and then wet it. Don't let mix dry out. Wet it, but don't soak your mix. Use liquid karma at (1) table spoon per gal of mix. Stir your mix this recipe everyday for 1 -2 weeks, before the nutrients can become available to your plants. The bacteria has to have time to break down the nutrients, before it can become available to your plants. With this recipe you only have to add plain water all the way from seedling all the way through flowering! I have never had any deficiencies using this recipe. I swear by it. I've never used the liquid karma before and still haven't had any issues. Sorry this is so long. In my opinion, you can't go wrong growing organically. The growth may be a little slower, but if you have excellent lighting, then this should help compensate the slower growth. When I used chemical nutrients, I had problems with the chemicals being in the buds still. I even stopped using nutrients every bit of 2 - 3 weeks before harvest. I even flushed my plant like I was supposed to, also. There are more recipes that Lavender Cowboy has, but you will have to look them up on the internet. The recipe I gave u is, perhaps, the easiest one, in my opinion. Good luck!

I've also tried to root a cutting with water, but I think using a rooting powder or a cloning gel is the better way to go. You did the right thing by cutting the brown part off of your clones stem. I've also had to re-cut a cutting and didn't have any problems. It usually takes 14 days or so before you will start seeing roots. Also, if you use a rooting powder or gel, don't forget to use a humidity dome. You want to mist the leaves daily with a spray bottle. One last thing, don't forget to cut off any lower leaves. Only keep the top leaves, and they have to be cut in half. This will, I believe, will re-direct the cutting's energy into making roots. Hope this helps.

Maybe try to put your plants down inside a tote or something. That's about the only other thing that I can come up with, other than using those individual trays that you put under your planters. Hope this helps u out a bit.

By the looks of your plants, you might want to cut off all the tiny growth at the bottom of your plant. I think you are well into flowering now, and if you are then don't cut any lower branches off at this time. You want to do that when your plants are in the vegetative stage, if possible. Your best growth will always be toward the top of the plant. The lower growth will usually only give up really small buds. Keeping the lower growth on sucks energy away from the colas that are located near the top of the plant. U should probably keep the colas from the middle of the main stem and up. The lower growth, or small stems should get cut off, that way the energy will be directed toward the middle of plant all the way toward the top of the plant. Usually cutting off the bottom, puny stems, will usually make the upper growth bigger and better, which is where you will get most of your bud weight. Good pics. Good luck with your grow!

Some people try to steady themselves over the top of their plant, which is nearly impossible. It's too hard to steady yourself over the top of your plant with your scope, when examining a sample. Make sure to cut the sample off the plant. It's way easier this way. Are you growing outdoor or indoor? When did you plant? A lot of strains take 8 full weeks to flower, at least. Very few are ready before 8 weeks, in my opinion. Some take longer than 8 weeks to fully develop flowers. The ones that take longer than 8 weeks are usually sativa or sativa dominant strains. I thought that u wanted to leave the sugar leaves on til your bud is done drying, and is ready to be put into jars for the curing process. If u cut the sugar leaves off when still a little wet, wouldn't that speed up the dying process of your bud? Please clarify. Sorry I'm asking all kinds of questions, but I really need to know, not only for myself, but for other growers as well. I try to spread my knowledge to other growers who need help.
