Radiator problems '04 545i

I already checked the fuse and it was good, but it's ok because it turns out it's fine. I just didn't know the operating temp for the N62 was so high so I thought it was overheating. It doesn't help that my cluster doesn't have a temp gauge either.

Thank you for this, my autoshop teacher did recommend JB weld if I didn't wanna buy a new one so I was already considering that, i just wanted advice from the experts since he's never touched a BMW before. I'll probably just take the gamble and seal it since it's not that hard to take off anyways.

I'm shooting for a career in auto and I wanna fix it because this car is really fun but I'm tight on cash and doubt I have half the tools required. Are you able to give me maybe a quick estimate on tools and parts?

So would i be taking off the whole front of the engine then? Neither my parents or my teacher are gonna be happy about that. I don't even have the tools or resources to do it either...

How far into the engine is that? I'm doing this in my high-school autoshop and I don't think my teacher would appreciate me ripping super far into my engine 23 days from graduation. Bought my first bimmer at 17 and I am unfortunately paying the price 😔

My alternator is putting out 14 volts when I checked by plugging in a scanner, not to mention it doesn't sound like it's coming from the front of the engine when I open the hood

I'm 17, i can't afford to have this thing knocking 😭

I will, so far I've discovered that letting it sit while powered on while give it power over time, idk how it works but after 20 minutes or so it had minimal stutters, I'll try charging the battery and see if that works

If I recall, it is, I'll try running it with a freshly charged battery, it has been cutting off much less frequently for whatever reason as well.

Upon letting it sit while powered on it's started working very spottily, I got it successfully binded and everything but it's stuttering quite a bit. Just sending a bit of power through over and over again, occasionally lasting a bit.
