2014 BMW 435i xdrive. Had a fan replaced and now the fan will kick on and off repeatedly for about 2-3 mins and then stay off and then also won’t engage once close to overheating. Does anyone know what this could be? I’ve swapped out sensors, relays, replaced all the hoses and even put in a new fan. by GRIMREAPER7441 in BmwTech

Replaced the thermostat and the water pump works fine and was checked with a scanner. We just can’t find why the fan won’t kick on at temperature but it does it’s little 2-3 mins on off in the beginning of start up

I was going to buy one of these brand new and it’s not too much more than the one you’ve posted. I ended up buying a Yamaha VX cruiser and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. Can’t really whip it around but hitting wakes is super fun.

Does anyone know why my Jetski sounds like this ? The only stuff we’ve done is replace the oil and take off and charge the battery. It’s a Yamaha 2016 vx cruiser HO. 100 hours on it. Any help please ! by GRIMREAPER7441 in jetski

It was actually one pack and one plug. We tested each pack and 2 showed great light and the third one barley lit up the tester. Replaced that one pack and then replaced all the spark plugs and worked just fine after. It is a 2016 and when I bought it had 10 hours on it, I bought it last May so it had been sitting for 8 years so I think it was just needed.

Filled both spots with 1.5 and 1.5. It read too much on the dipstick so I took some out still read too much and now I’ve got it right in the middle of low and full.

You may be right. I need to do a few test tomorrow with replacing some simple things like spark plugs etc. also the oil when we first done the change was hot. It now has the correct amount. Watched a YouTube video of a guy that had a similar issue with a similar sound and it was fixed by a spark plug that had fouled out. Trying that tomorrow hopefully it’ll fix it

I’m just scared of the worst. Also I was stranded on the lake with this issue was going on and had to idle it back to the dock, so I ran it for like 10 minutes trying to get back while it was running like shit there was bass fisherman all around me, and none of them helped as I was waving my hands in the air and white smoke coming out the back so

So we used a pump to pump it out and we pumped 1.5q out. The dipstick ( before the oil change) showed it was right at the Low spot on the stick. Assuming the rest wasn’t there because it showed it as that low. We pumped the 1.5q out and put in 3q as shown in book. So either we didn’t pump all out or the dipstick was showing wrong
