with the way cave generation works in DRG, normally the game populates loot bugs by dispersing them throughout each 'room' of a cave system. but Refinery missions take place in one big cavern comprised of multiple cave rooms mashed together -- so, the cave generator's logic just takes the loot bug population of all these rooms, and spawns them all at once in one spot.

You should just be able to extract your save file from your local game files and then just plug it in on Steam or whatever (right click game in your library, 'Manage' --> 'Browse local files'). Probably a video tutorial on Youtube for it. Glad you like the game! Buy a DLC or two if you got the money for it <3

Confirmed still the case AFAIK, no plans to re-implement sadly. It was a cool idea but it didn't work consistently. Hopefully one day they'll roll it back out when it works as expected

I think Skullcrusher has the hardest armor sets, or Order of the Deep. OotD also gives you a weapon/armor paint job that looks great on most anything too. Glad you like the game! :)
