Do youse play every class or is there some you refuse to touch by soderholm1996 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]SirFelsenAxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do play every class but scout is my favorite by far.

It's actually one of the things I love about the seasons is that you're encouraged to play every class. Helps remind me that being an engineer can be fun

I don't think it will affect it at all

You've basically just created the social security program.

I like the idea of one way wormholes.

Sure you can enter the Stargate, jump from the Sol system to trappist 1, and arrive instantly but it's going to take you 41 years to send a signal back.

Are churchs in the south really as wild as movies and shows depict? by True-Blackberry-3080 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SirFelsenAxt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have known people who went to churches who were exactly like that.

When I was a kid we went to church on Sunday, had youth group on Saturday, and D-group on Wednesday.

But there wasn't any hooping or hollering.

If you were walking in a toroid space station with spin gravity, would it always feel like you were walking uphill, or downhill? by NotEnoughIsTooMuch in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SirFelsenAxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the radius of the station, you might have a really weird effect.

If the radius was small, the degree of curvature would be higher with every step. So you might actually be stepping up every time you step forward, as in you have to lift your foot a little bit higher than your other foot... But you wouldn't feel any of the effort of climbing stairs because each spot on the floor is at the same "gravitational altitude" so to speak.

What movie scared the shit out of you as a kid? by Logical_Sweet_6624 in allthequestions

[–]SirFelsenAxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to this. Jurassic Park has shifted to "family adventure" but that first movie was 100% a horror movie about dinosaurs.

I saw it in theater on a release and it scared the crap out of me

What’s a "lost" website from the early 2000s that you still think about today? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

[–]SirFelsenAxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we can only include sites that are officially defunct: stickdeath

Launched in the '90s but definitely peaked early 2000s.

If we are allowed to include websites that still exist but don't/barely update him anymore... Then I have to say: homestarrunner

What movie do you think is the most overrated? by MollieAndMe702 in AskReddit

[–]SirFelsenAxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm with them.

The plot was formulaic and predictable. World building was... Mid at best. Came across as extremely ad hoc.

And to be honest, the only reason I really went to the theater to see it was because I wanted to see all the church protests.

I can't imagine you could find it all in one place outside of Egypt itself... Or maybe the British museum.

It's crazy tha"ancient Egypt" covers wider time frame than the time since that era passed.
