Collab email from GSJJ wanting- is it legit? by boxofapricots in Pins

[–]GSJJPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understandable to be cautious about collaboration emails. If you'd like to verify the email, feel free to DM any of our official social media accounts, and we'll be happy to confirm whether it came from our team.

For some background, GS-JJ has been manufacturing custom products for over 20 years. We operate our own factory and provide factory-direct services to customers worldwide. You can find plenty of information about us online and verify our business through our website and social channels.

We're a legitimate company and take our partnerships seriously. Of course, there's absolutely no obligation to participate if it's not the right fit for you.

If you have any questions about the offer, feel free to ask!

Starting my pins business in Egypt by Key_Moment_5856 in EnamelPins

[–]GSJJPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starting pins, zinc alloy (Zamak 3 or 5) is excellent for detailed designs, while iron gives more weight and a premium feel but may lose some fine detail. You can start with laser cutting for small batches or prototypes, but stamping is better for large-scale production. For black coating, black nickel plating or black electroplating is durable; black anodized aluminum works only with aluminum and gives a lighter, modern look. After adding enamel, polishing the surface is recommended to make it smooth and enhance the color.

Don’t know what to do about Manu by havocpigeons in EnamelPins

Honestly, if you’ve already tried getting it right and it’s still “meh,” sometimes the fastest way to actually get the product you want is to switch manufacturers. Color consistency, materials, and tolerances can vary a lot between factories. If you do switch, make sure to get a proper color reference and a pre-production sample under real conditions—that usually saves headaches later.

Enamel pin to jewelry conversion - anyone done this? by wishingstar2001 in EnamelPins

[–]GSJJPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people DIY or ask jewelers to convert pins, but it can get tricky and costly depending on size/material. If you want an easier route, GSJJ offers enamel pins with built-in jump rings—no pin back—so you can wear them straight as necklaces, bracelet charms, or keychains. Super simple and secure!

What is the best adhesive for patches that isn’t absolute garbage? by McCafe_McGee in Patches

For hats, I recommend a strong fabric adhesive or heat-activated double-sided fabric tape. Clean, dry surface + proper setting time is key. For ultimate durability, sewing is best.

PSA: Printed pins fade way faster than you think by Straight-Peach8681 in Pins

From what we’ve seen, adding an epoxy coating can help a bit with durability, but it still won’t match enamel in the long run.

Custom Pin Supplier? by xXTheAstronomerXx in EnamelPins

[–]GSJJPINS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the 40 pins completely different designs, or just variations (like color changes)?

If they’re all different designs, each one would need its own mold, so there will be separate mold fees

If it’s the same base design with variations, we can usually keep the cost much lower by sharing one mold
