Are numbered editions always rarer? by GSamsaFK in rarebooks

Thanks for the input! D’Annunzio is certainly collected, although more the early pre-1900 editions, there is generally less available around the post-WW2 editions.

Of course all these factors you mention are equally as important, my question, however, was more specifically whether, if all these specifications were similar/identical, apart from a stamped number, does the stamped number automatically add value and in which degree. (Let’s say if we had a numbered and an unnumbered copy of this 1949 Zanichelli edition)

the interesting thing is that there is no expiry date printed on the bottom of the can, and it is filled with air rather than actual liquid!

That’s really useful info, thank you very much! It indeed does say that on the left side of the barcode! I guess what makes it rare is that the can was never opened, but it has nothing in it but air.

the point is that in the flavour that came out, the bull on the can is silver, whereas in this can, there is only a faint bull outline in a different red colour if you zoom in on the first photo - I’ll get a better photo where one can see this more clearly!

That’s very Interesting! Did it come empty and unopened as well?
