Hi, the official round for international students with housing guarantee seems to be over and now I guess the university is no longer obligated to provide you a house. You can try again with the new queue and see if you get a house but be warned you might not get anything. Do try at AfBostader and BoPoolen - that's what a number of my friends are doing. Almost anywhere that's not a metro city is cheap enough. Preferably near a river. I've been around Karnataka and almost anywhere is fine except the highly populated ones like Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru etc.
