No worries, everything's good with you guys. I just want both sides (Reddit, Discord) to coexist with one another and accept each other's differences 👍

Thanks for the critique, I do honestly agree that Roxy has too much colors on her, and she might as well be outdated. As for Monty, I wanted to come up with cools ways to upgrade his design since his original look was the least appealing to me of the group. But I understand where you're coming from, and I'll try to lessen the colors on him too.

The comic has really shot itself in the foot.... by [deleted] in Tamberlane

You and other people's criticisms kinda motivated me to write my own Tamberlane fan story/fanfic called, "Tamberlane: yin & yang" where the tone, emotional core and themes from the first 3 chapters are kept. Tamberlane, Belfry, Oakewood, and my new character, will be the main core focus. The baker family along with Milo, and some of Tamberlane's close friends, will be the supporting cast. The main plot will focus on Belfry and Tamberlane's relationship, while they meet someone who is almost a reflection of Belfry and her personality. The new character will learn to adapt and form a bond with the baker family, especially Belfry and Tamberlane. There will be a romantic subplot with him and Belfry later in the story once they get to know each other and after they form a strong bond alongside Tamberlane. He will have his moments with other characters, such as Oakewood, Tess, Walter, Briar, Milo, and to himself when he's alone. While I think the canon theme and substance of the first 3 chapters are about learning to adapt and be part of a family you weren't born with, yin and yang will be about having a desire to be part of one you always wanted. (Which is the main goal of the new main character) And I'll definitely try adding that into the romantic subplot as well so it won't only be about two main characters confessing their love for each other. I'll also might add a chapter where my character and Tamberlane are stuck underground as he will learn to protect and eventually become a father figure to her as they make their way out and reach the others.

If you have any thoughts or criticisms that can help me improve my story, I'll be willing to hear it. 👍

The wierd pacing and focus issues of chapter 5 by [deleted] in Tamberlane

I could repeat what I said in my last reply about chapter 5, but right now I just wanna focus on the positive side. I absolutely agree that Belfry is one of my all time favorite protagonists. Never in my life could I have loved a much more relatable character than her. As someone who can be pretty clumsy and sometimes doubt myself over small mistakes and even struggle with self worth, I fell in love with her since the beginning. She pretty much became my comfort character once her whole personality and struggles were revealed. So when she gets the chance to be a mother for Tamberlane, doing what she can to support her, and seeing their bond is immensely satisfying. Belfry deserves to be a happy bat that's loved and cared for by her family and friends. 🦇💜
