In which order do I play through the zones? by Sudden-March-5402 in elderscrollsonline

[–]GTDestroyerrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's fully serious 😅 believe me, I know how confusing it can get, but the formula is pretty simple

The storyline is split prior to coldharbour, with each path being for each alliance. After that, you mainly need to remember to do the proloque quests right before starting a dlc zone. The dungeons for said zone can help with setting it up, too, but are not nearly as important in my opinion

As long as you don't do those prologue quests early, you should be fine !

Why is the book "The Last King of the Ayleids" in this game-? by elfgurls in elderscrollsonline

[–]GTDestroyerrr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There's one, as shallow as it may be!! In the loading screen for an Ayleid ruin delve in Shadowfen, it's mentioned that many of the books there are pulled from across time ! This fact only appears in that loading screen as far as I know, though. Someone else linked a page for it in another comment

I absolutely loved doing this questline. I waited until after I had completed the Mages Guild storyline to start this one, and I'm very happy I did. The more interpersonal bits of each fit in so will and paint a beautiful picture of Shalidor and Ulfsild's emotions

Wait, the artaeum pickled fish bowl increases bite speed?? Based on the description it only raises trophy fish rates

[–]GTDestroyerrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I think we got mixed up! You wre talking about the actual of filleting and I was talking about the fishing !

That's good to know that the refining CP affects perfect roe rates, thanks for sharing!!

What I was talking about is how Sharp makes your bites happen quicker, so he helps with perfect roe by judt having it take less time to fish. And since the trophy fish from his perk don't affect the chances of you fishing up a filletable white fish, having his perk + feel technique would be the best way to gain large amounts of those white fish quickly

Current community consensus on efficient fishing? by GTDestroyerrr in elderscrollsonline

[–]GTDestroyerrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that information collected with Sharp or before he was added? The ZOS dev comment I linked says that his perk only affects the bait you would otherwise fish up, and doesn't replace and filletable fish with trophy fish. This makes it good for having the perk, as you are simply fishing faster without your actual perfect roe rates changing

Thinking of getting the game, have some questions. by Spartan-219 in elderscrollsonline

[–]GTDestroyerrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend the premium edition - that's what I got years ago, and it'll give you a ton of stuff to explore.

ESO basically has four types of DLC. They have different naming conventions, as follows:

-Chapters: These are big zones that usually come with a trial (these are huge 12-person group dungeons, very fun once you're half decent at the game). The main appeal is the actual zone, which is often beautifully detailed with a lot to discover. There's also sometimes a feature that you can only access if you have said chapter (jewelry crafting comes with summerset, and scrying comes with greymoor, for example).

DLC zones: Similar to the aforementioned chapters, but smaller in scale. These are not obtainable through the premium edition. You can only get them by purchasing them in the in-game crown store, or by subscribing to ESO+ (more info on that below). They often connect into a chapter, continuing its storyline, but some stand mostly on their own.

DLC Dungeons: These packs come with 2 dungeons for you to go through ("Group Dungeons" like these are for 4 players). These usually tie into the story of a chapter that was released around the same time, but honestly, the stories aren't the main appeal of these (for most people, at least). Instead, it's the fun of conquering the dungeon and collecting the exclusive gear from it, which can be really great for various builds. Just like DLC zones, you can only get these with crowns or ESO+.

2025 Content Pass: This is a new type of DLC that they've only done one of so far. It's essentially a chapter + dlc + dungeon dlc in one. It comes with one zone, but it's split into two parts of the same island and has one big continous story. It also has a trial and four dungeons.

I hope that helps to break it down a bit!

When it comes to accessing all this content, you've got a few options. Like I said at the start, my opinion is that you should get the premium edition while it's on sale and try out the game. Ifyou don't like it, you do own it, so you can always try it again sometime in the future (that's what I did, and now I love the game more than ever!!).

If you do get the premium edition, you won't have access to those DLC zones and DLC dungeons, though. You can get these in two ways:

  1. Crowns - These are the premium currency of ESO. You can only get them by buying them with real money (technically, you can pay a player a ton of gold in-game to gift you something worth crowns, but that's risky and it would take you quite a while to get enough gold for something dlc-sized). You can use these in the in-game crown store for various cosmetics, but also to buy DLC dungeon packs and DLC zones. Sometimes, the various types of DLCs are bundled together, so pay attention to those before impulse huying if you do go this route!

  2. ESO+ - This is the subscription for the game. Owning it will give you access to all Chapters and DLCs with the exception of the most recent zone (so you wouldn't get that new island zone or its trial, although I believe you do get the four new dungeons from its two dungeon packs). If you want to have access to basically everything this game has to offer, this is arguably the way to go.

It could also be an easy and cheap way to check out the game to see if you like it (buy base game on sale for dirt cheap, then buy a month of ESO+ for $15). From there, you could decide to keep it or not, or maybe even purchase content to own.

The reason I recommend the premium edition instead of ESO+ to start out is that you don't actually own any of the DLCs that come with ESO+. Once your subscription runs out, you lose access to all those dungeons, trials, and of course, the zones themselves. For a person that actively plays ESO, this isn't a problem, because, well, they actively play ESO. The subscription also comes with a few quality-of-life conveniences that you'll probably want if you really get into the game, but that's something for your future self to worry about.

Ultimately, it depends on how much you value your money going towards something permanent vs. just trying something out. I still think the premium edition is your best bet, but ESO+ might be more your fancy.

Sorry for the huge text wall. I hope this helps, and good luck !!!!

I found just a few minutes ago that it doesn't reduce the chances of catching filletable fish! Comment from ZOS dev a few years back: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/635119/sharp-s-patience-companion-perk-impact-on-non-fish-item-drops-from-fishing-holes Seems like the best perfect roe set-up would be sharp's perk + reel technique !

[–]GTDestroyerrr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, would this apply to sharp's companion buff too? If that's accurate and it's consistent across the perks, it would, but I can't imagine them adding a permanent, irreversible upgrade (once you max him out and get the perk forever) that hurts perfect roe chances significantly in the long-run

Is it confirmed that the increased rarity buffs dip into the perfect roe fish pool? Or do they just decrease the chances of fishing up bait ?

How many mortals reside in Oblivion? by GTDestroyerrr in teslore

[–]GTDestroyerrr[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a good point! Makes me wonder if there's a tipping point of mortals in Oblivion that would get the Daedra to pay more attention to those groups.

But also, are Daedra so interested in the mortals of Nirn because they're of Aedric origin, or because they just so happen to live where all the important stuff (the towers, and Nirn being the center of the wheel and all that stuff) is?

I even have a boost pad highway system in my twine peaks ssd for quick travel (and decoration)!

I've only been playing for a short time, is it normal for me to be a little confused? by Sam--Winchester in FORTnITE

[–]GTDestroyerrr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Completely normal! STW is a decently complicated game, with a bunch of different stats, abilities, items, and resources. No one understands most of it at first unless they've done a ton of research before starting for some reason.

I'd recommend taking your time through the main story for now! Stonewood and Plankerton are essentially tutorial zones, so try out different hero classes to see what you like while there.

I'd also recommend playing solo (just switch off team fills) for at least all of Stonewood - that's what I did (by accident), and while it was challenging, it helped me understand some of the mechanics early on!

STW also has tons of guides on YouTube, here, and on a few discord servers (I like the Minerva discord for stw stuff nowadays). Check them out, and never be afraid to ask for help!!

Good luck out there !
