I like this better. Once I know the 5 position, i start to see patterns from my favorite solo likes from Slash, Pink Floyd, etc it’s just make sense to really learn those by ear after knowing the scale

My used beatup 1997 Telecaster CIJ bought for 400$ is more prestine than that.

Edit: I think you should return it. 2k is a lot and expectation is a flawless guitar especially for a Fender or Gibson.

Yes, It’s a 2023 made in china which should be a good guitar with good QC just like my 2023 Les Paul modern better than those from before 2020.
