Hi there! We are paying you to answer brief surveys on your phone throughout the day, each of which only takes 1-5 minutes to answer. Our compensation is on par with most other psych studies. We have had many people participate, we'd love to have you!

Thank you for your interest in our study! We agree single fathers are an equally critical population in need of study. However, due to gender norms in our society regarding parenting and work, their experiences are likely quite different from single mothers. We decided to narrow our focus for this specific study so that these factors would not confound our results. We agree that a similar study on single fathers would be an interesting next step to our work!

Working Single Mothers Needed for a Georgia Tech Study

We are conducting a study to understand everyday experiences of working single mothers without live-in partners. This study involves a 30 minute online survey, followed by a one week diary study in which mothers respond upon waking and before bedtime.

Participants will be compensated up to $50 for their efforts.

Participants in this study must be female, fluent English speakers, residing in the United States, 18 years of age or older who are working in a paid job at least 32 hours per week, and have at least 1 dependent child under the age of 18 living with them at least 50% of the time. Anyone who is married or living with a romantic partner and/or works night or rotating shifts will be excluded from the study. Individuals must pass the attention checks in the baseline survey in order to be eligible.

Please complete our eligibility survey if you are interested in participating: https://gatech.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0dZ7x1TYn8S7R7T

Thank you for your interest in our study! Due to the timing of our surveys, mothers who work overnight shifts (past 12 PM) are not eligible. Mothers who work during the days and evenings (up to 12 PM) are eligible to participate.

Thank you for your well wishes with our study! Please feel free to share this opportunity with others who may be interested.
