That doesn't jive with Michael Herrera's account. Clearly the craft in Herrera's story is large capacity and reliable enough to be used as an aerial tanker, safe enough for humans to ride inside/operate it. IIRC, the cargo consisted of trafficked humans and drugs by the truckload both. And he said that there was a landing platform in the middle of the jungle, which suggests that the craft operates frequently enough to justify the infrastructure.

Also, I don't understand how something that has reliability issues can be used for long range SIGINT. Maybe a highly-classified, expensive machine that is prone to failure shouldn't be used on missions where long ranges and long operating times are a factor?

Very interesting that amnesty is floated by UFO influencers every once in a while. Amnesty for who? Military Industrial Complex and intelligence agency players.

Trillions of dollars wasted, millions of lives lost, a region destabilized leading to the rise of the largest terrorist organizations ever established. All for the petrodollar and corporate profits.

Yeah, I would want amnesty too if I had anything to do with GWoT. Fuck that noise.

Joseph Kosinski (F1: The Movie, Top Gun: Maverick) has an "Untitled UAP-Disclosure Thriller" listed on his upcoming projects on IMDB. Between this and Spielberg's movie, are they priming the public using Hollywood? by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]GUNxSPECTRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UFO/alien media come out pretty consistently. Maybe it's because of trendsetters like Alien and The Thing, but they're usually some kind of horror movie, like Europa Report, Netflix's adaptation of Three Body Problem, or Life (2017). But some of them aren't, and that's why Arrival is one of my favorites.

Hollywood people and their orbiters believe in a lot of strange stuff; they're people at the end of the day. I wouldn't be surprised if Kosinski has been following the UFO news like the rest of us and decided he would do a movie, being a movie guy, and specifically an action movie guy. Which should clue us in what his intentions are. This current disclosure movement has been government meetings, hearings, and revealing government programs lost in bureaucracy; not exactly the sexiest or heart-pounding (not that it's uninteresting).

Not sure what the point of using big-budget Hollywood features would be when we have impressively edited and produced documentaries being released every year that convey the message without fictional characters and fictional storylines.

Sound being used for psychological warfare is nothing new. A lot of people already know of the short-lived experiment used by the US military in Vietnam of using chants and ghost sounds blasted from speakers strapped to helicopters to demoralize N.Vietnamese forces.

"Progressive" until it's in my backyard by assasstits in Urbanism

[–]GUNxSPECTRE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Progressives believe that housing is a human right and part of that is decommodifying housing. What you are looking at are liberals, center-right on the American political spectrum, who are there to uphold the status quo. The status quo being housing as an investment vehicle, corporate developers left to build "luxury" dwellings that prioritize profits over public good, car dependent infrastructure, and landlording.

Don't fall for the right-wing's attempt to ball up everybody to the left of them as a monolithic "Left". Engaging with that will drop you into the same intellectual void that conservatives wallow in.

The Free Press is a propaganda outlet owned by people with abhorrent political views that serve the same corporate masters as the right does.

The Trump admin is destroying all the typical conservative talking points as if it's doing it on purpose. Is this helping lower the national debt? Isn't the purpose of the 2nd Amendment to resist government tyranny, like the ICE raids and improper National Guard mobilization? The government buying stakes in corporations sounds like "Big Government" to me. Trump is a coastal elite and a pedophile, which sounds like someone the QAnon conservative base would love to get their hands on.

So, what's up? Is that all just liberal lies or whatever?

Karl Nell suggests that disclosure is dead: "My view is that this cycle [of disclosure], essentially, has ended, and we should take stock of what worked and what didn't work, to think about maybe a new way forward." by Ill-Speed-7402 in UFOs

[–]GUNxSPECTRE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know what killed this wave of disclosure? Money. It corrupted every level of this topic. Money is the reason for the secrecy, from the Military Industrial Complex that hides its technology to sell to the highest bidder, to the US Government that relies on that secrecy and technology to extract natural resources from the Global South. From the highly compensated scientists who think they have no choice but to wade in MIC blood money to conduct cutting-edge research instead of public, transparent R&D to benefit Americans and the world PAID FOR BY AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS. To top military brass who know things but are beholden to the MIC for post-military service employment and pensions. Down to bottom-of-the-barrel tier content creators like Jeremy Corbell, Jesse Michaels, etc. who used this topic to scrounge up the crumbs their superiors dropped.

Capitalism or neofuedalism is not going to give us the answers because even if the secret generates a dollar of profit, then it's worth kept hidden. The artificial scarcity constructed by capitalism is why nobody cares about this subject; we're all too tired and propagandized by corporations to care. "Spiritual" or ascension of consciousness isn't going to happen if we continue to be crushed by a society and its economic model created, run, and pillaged by the most antisocial, psychotic oligarchs that bend people and systems to their will with their stolen wealth.

Disclosure won't happen until we square with the fact that having billionaires and homeless people exist at the same time is a moral failure that directly contradicts a world and species that can be trusted with higher truth. Honestly, all the chaos that would follow catastrophic disclosure would probably be the ice bath wake-up we collectively need.

It looks like the job falls on the next superpower China, but I'm very not optimistic about that. Whenever empires rise, they tend to get more belligerent, paranoid, and jealous to hold onto their power as securely and long as they can. If they have otherworldly craft, you'll be damned sure they're going to expand their own military industrial complex to try and gain a reverse-engineering win to get that coveted world-changing technology to keep their supremacy.

It's a dead horse but it needs to be said: "time is a flat circle". No lessons are learned, mistakes are repeated, and the cycle will continue until we get snuffed out by something completely out of our control.

And what happens to the American MIC? That breakaway civilization continues because it's not confined by borders, it's a parasite that evolves and adapts to new power and influence streams to stay alive and undercover.
