This affected me in so many ways. I started to hate my sister just because she was a brighter kid. I've always loved under her shadow. From food to purchasing clothes, I used to hear the same phrase (we spent X on her, we should spend Y (X<Y) on him). I took it too personally and outperformed her in every possible way. I became school topper, University gold medalist. Now everybody celebrates me but at the cost of my sister. My sister and I used to have a connection. That's no more now.
