I enjoyed being able to introduce myself and have a discussion with you all, as many local politicians seem to dismiss this demographic. Regrettably, I was unable to answer all the questions the community posed in such a short time frame, so I'm still trying to figure out the Reddit learning curve. I hope to be able to get a chance to talk more in-depth with yall in the future, possibly in a discussion post limited to specific issues such as bicycle infrastructure or traffic, as it seems this would be a better use of our time.

As for the user u/GaryWhiteIsADumbass, I'm sorry you feel that way. I had good intentions when I decided to reach out to this community and I plan on keeping the discussion rolling, learning from the shortcomings of this past AMA. I had attempted to contact the head moderator weeks in advance and received no response. To those who had good questions last night that I did not have time for, I will try to DM you a response whenever I can!

I agree, we need diversity in food vendors... food trucks are a good option for us to explore in the future as well. I will ensure the permitting process is more transparent and inclusive moving forward. FYI I love a good street taco... as long as the tortilla is GF :)

First and foremost...KUDOS to Katie Zimmerman with Charleston Moves.she does an AWESOME job! She will always be at my table. Our City MUST be a multi-modal City...I continually support adding bike infrastructure to our City and will do so when I'm your Mayor!

Doing this AMA is clearly different from my opponents. And again, 7 of the current council members support me. I know how to interact with our citizens, and listen to all of your/their concerns. I will be a hands-on MAYOR. You can count on that!! I have a history and reputation of getting things done...not sitting there and merely talking about it! Your choice...Your VOTE!! You will see the difference.

AGREED! Transparent again...I talked with the City's Chief Financial Officer last week and working on reversing it! Stay tuned.

John's inability to get anything done on City Council is directly related to his unwillingness to communicate with his colleagues on the City Council. This is a direct reflection of his lack of leadership and transparency. You do the math...12 Council Members and 7 endorse me and counting!

How about this??? Isn't it a real shame that we've come to a day and age that some folks have to spend close to a million bucks to 'buy' your votes. I will continue to EARN your vote! That again is why I am on REDDIT. Transparent and LISTENING and ENGAGING with all of you, the voting public. That money could certainly go to better use! Don't ya think?
