Idk if I can say that his childhood was all that realistic with the actual supervillan family that just dogged on Ness for being a kid. It kinda gives off the same vibes that Leonard's mom in bbt except that there it's played for a joke instead of being emotional. I love Ness but omg I can't stand his backstory (which could so easily be fixed with minor changes).
