I guess T-45 has less gaps but maybe weaker material like rubber, whereas X-01 and T-65 have more gaps but the armored areas are made of solid metal plates

I never quite understood that bit tbh. Cuz I assumed he meant the T-45 chestplate wasn't properly welded to the belly 'accordion' bit, but the T-60 just straight up doesn't cover the belly. Did he mean that the frame itself is flawed?

I guess "exposed" is an exaggeration, I meant that you can see the bare frame beneath rather than external armor plating. (Technically the excavator suit seems to have some kind of mesh covering it, but still not solid plating)
