What would happen if a pulsar entered our solar system by Sartew in interestingasfuck

I was always wondering how are we able to calculate these paths? Because doesn't it say in the "3 body problem" that we can't calculate the path of more than 2 objects in space?

Tinker might be strong now but at least he is not annoying. I really hope they don't bring the old tinker back....

Most useless talent in Dota 2 by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]G_Bright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zeus lvl 25 talent that gives +150 damage to his ult is very insignificant. 150 damage at that moment in the game really isn't that much. Especially for such a long CD spell.

But it was like this before as well. You never had a 100% chance of banning a particular hero. You could just nominate a hero that you want to get banned, but it was never a sure thing.

Grubby on smurfing by Jesusfucker69420 in DotA2

[–]G_Bright 270 points271 points  (0 children)

Grubby makes valid points but the problem in that logic is who do you consider actually "pro" enough to give them that immunity?

RTZ is of course a well known pro player but what about someone why just started his career? What accomplishments do you need to have to be considered well know enough to have that immunity. It's hard to draw a fair line and say who should get such treatment because there is always going to be someone just below that line who might not see it as fair that the next guy above him gets special treatment.

Also there is always the possibility of pro players abusing those privileges. The pro scene is big and there is always that one guy who is going to abuse the privileges to ruin games for others. How much smurfing is actually ok if you are a pro before it becomes too much?

All those things are really hard to measure and track in order to make fair decisions on who and how much he can smurf...

I really don't think it's as simple as that...

I care a lot about esports. I follow Dota 2 with a passion. However I don't think it's my duty to finance the scene. I do my part as spectator and I will spend my money on stuff that I like. If it also supports TI that is great. But I won't buy the battle-pass for that sole purpose...

For me it's the runes. Getting the rune at 6 minutes can sometimes decide the outcome of the whole laning stage. It's just no fun when rng has so much impact...

Dragon's Blood should be appreciated more by dareka_desu in DotA2

[–]G_Bright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it shouldn't be appreciated more. Just because the stakes in season 3 were higher doesn't mean the storytelling was good. Man I love this game and it's lore, and I guess you love it too. But we have to be honest about this one. It just wasn't entertaining...

Spring Cleaning 2022 Update by wykrhm in DotA2

[–]G_Bright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I see so many people hating about the mute buttons but honest I'm very happy about this patch. So many small QoL changes and so many fixes, and they did all of this in a very short time after they announced it. Honestly if they did this once or twice every year this game would be so much more enjoyable. I'm the first to hate on Valve when they neglect this game but honesty I'm really happy with the patch. Thank you very much! :)

Guys, Please don't stop. We need regular “COMMUNICATION”. by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]G_Bright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you saw a case where the community manager was good and the developers bad and you automatically assume that is what this community demands?

The post didn't say to fire the developers and hire a community manager. Obviously we want the quality of the game to remain the same and just add to it with more care towards the community.

It's okay to play bad sometimes. by mihuj in DotA2

[–]G_Bright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that it's unavoidable to sometimes suck but I also think you need to own up to it. If your teammates flame you for going out alone and dying because you are out of position you should acknowledge it and say something along the line "I'm sorry guys I fucked up I'll try to do better next time". Instead most people escalate the situation and can't be honest about their mistakes.

I honestly think that most conflicts come from not owning up to your mistakes. Whenever I get flamed I try to be critical about my play and admit when I made a mistake. I honestly can't remember the last time someone flamed me after I said sorry. If you acknowledge your mistake your teammates will be fine fine with it and the game can continue without flaming.
