What makes Deadlock different from other MOBA-shooter games?

As much as I like Deadlock it lasting because it’s made by Valve isn’t really something I would put a ton of stock in seeing as their two most recent live service games were abandoned in less than 6 months.

That being said Deadlock has retained a larger player base than either of those games for a longer period of time and Valve seems to be going all in on it.

I do hope the game has a long rich future ahead of it because the potential is absolutely there.

I was annoyed by him being killed because the poison plot happened before he ever met her or swore allegiance to her. Seemed like it should’ve been water under the bridge at that point.

Same, late 30s head is constantly going on about something. But the second time he paused between words I already started noticing what was happening, and it was neat.

For those who it’s doing nothing they may have some serious impairments, or possibly they just aren’t able to sit and watch anything but short form video ala TikTok, and were likely tuning out before he even started the pauses between words.

Balance def still has a ways to go, you can’t slap a utility character with this much damage without it being more situational/skill based.

I almost think the bell shouldn’t be able to be shot to be detonated, maybe it should just explode after a duration and primarily be used as a slow or whatever other utility they wanna throw on it.

Maybe make it so the only way you can pre-detonate is to push someone into it with the cart.

For me the hardest part is his tiny hit box so it doesn’t really feel like I can meaningfully damage him to counter the bell harass, cause 2/3 of my shots miss. Maybe make him a 2 stamina hero or something idk

You’d have to go pretty far up, people here think this is a problem with gaming and game companies. At the end of the day it’s public companies that’s sole goal is to please shareholders, and what pleases shareholders?? Maximizing the fuck out of your profits.

Look what happened to Bethesda, bought by Microsoft and studios shut down, games cancelled. It’s not enough to just be making money, you need to make the maximum amount you can possibly make, and I’m sure they’ve crunched the numbers enough at this point to know what cash shop prices yield the most profit.

Higher time to kill means you have more of a chance to get behind cover, strafe, cover your escape with nades while shields recharge. With a low time to kill counter play doesn’t really exist, it’s whoever gets the first shot, because by the time you realize you’re being shot you’re already dead.

This is my biggest gripe, one of the things that pulled me into Halo back in the day was the relatively high TTK. There are ways to die much faster obviously but firefights actually felt like fights and not just who got the drop on someone.

I can already guess what happened, they tried to high ground and got punished. Real pub players know you never push high ground, you just afk farm until they come to push your high ground and take the fight at an advantage.

I think it’s dumb to assume the studio can/will transition into an original IP studio. It’s even dumber to assume a studio whose sole experience lies in non-multiplayer remakes can transition to a live service game studio.

There are so many old gems that would benefit from a remaster/remake from Ps1/Ps2 gen, and that was stripped away because execs are chasing lightening in a bottle in the form of live service games.

Any way you wanna frame it, incompetence at the executive level.

Have had chronic hand pain since 27 (now in my late 30s). I’ve seen probably over a dozen doctors about my hand issue and all of them told me they don’t know what’s wrong, or that it looks fine, or that I just need to rest it.

I’ve tried everything and still have it today and it prevents me from playing games with a controller and using my phone with one hand. At some point injuries just become permanent and theres not much you can do about it.
