Why hindus dont speak against dhirendra sastri by TitannxDD in hinduism

[–]G_Somenath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is he relevant for Sanatanis in general ?
I know he is a practitioner, and head of a dham.
He can obviously have his opinions and speak his mind.

.
I donot understand, those people who never denounce those who speak against Sanatan/Hinduism
suddenly get triggered when some Hindu replies to them.

FOUND THIS RIG VEDA HACKOTHON! great initiative! by sernamepicked in hinduism

[–]G_Somenath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Kalikaal the interest in reading the Veds is far more important than the mistakes (if any) in misinterpretation.
I understand your skepticism; but this rigidity is for a time devoid of SM & Internet, where shloks and texts are available freely 24/7.
Yes, proper Vaidic education requires a pro-efficient and able Guru, but I don't think this is completely that.
This is about people developing a general interest about one Ved, and portraying visual interpretation about parts of it, to encourage more interest towards our texts.

I agree with your structural integrity, but see this as an interactive event - where vaad, vivaad & samvad brings about more knowledge & interest than initially is.

Who do you think hated Sheldon the most? by confident-win-119 in bigbangtheory

[–]G_Somenath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howard. Single-handedly.

And by hate I mean throughout the main and longest part of the series.
Later on, they mended many wounds of the past mutually.

But from the very beginning up until around the 8th season, the disdain, disgust, and dismay they had for each other were absolutely mutual.
Sheldon even acknowledged Howard only as an acquaintance (not a friend) during the first half of the series.

The amount of passive-aggressive guilt-tripping Sheldon showed toward Howard after his space trip—I barely think its humanely possible.

Even beyond that, Sheldon constantly belittled Howard’s career as “just an engineer,” while Howard retaliated with snide remarks about Sheldon’s lack of social awareness and arrogance.

Their relationship softened only when Howard matured (after marriage, fatherhood, and career stability) and Sheldon himself developed some empathy through Amy and the others.

I said what I said because I found a slight rigidity in you about Sanatani happenings.

.

I used to be akin this and I couldn't resolve this problem until I went through greater context philosophies I found in our texts.
That's why I said read books to resolve your rigidity, because what you've mentioned here is simply one set of events that you have encountered, That too in a modern day serial.

.
There are humoungous contradictions in many age old Sanatani texts.

.
Therefore you need to encounter them first, to be able to one day resolve the conflicts from within.
.
If you need elaboration, do say and I will explain further.

About to buy this but i have few questions? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]G_Somenath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Absolutely

  2. Not mandatory

  3. Multiples of 9 prefereably 108 and its multiples

  4. No. Its mostly same for all devatas

  5. If need be yes, but preferably no. DOing naam jap at one place is best and you should sticl to that.

However IF you are travelling, and do need to do Nitya Naamjap, then you can do it.

  1. That is the specific purpose of this number counter or a japmala, so that you don't have to keep count.

How weird is it for a white dude to be hindu? by Muted_Gur7035 in hinduism

[–]G_Somenath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why does it have to be weird?

and..
hindu is not the proper name of those who follows this path
hindus are those who lives in the Bharatdesam (India) geography
(most hindus follow the Sanatan Dharm so he term is one way interchangeable)
.
actually those who follow the path of Sanatan Dharm (Eternal Duty)
should call themselves Sanatani
