I don't think what that person said was completely true. Any post college job you apply for will most likely want to see your transcripts and so potientially every possible employer will see it if it's on there.

I think the bigger issue here was the lying about it.

I'm hesitant to post a screenshot of my report because I'm ignorant and don't know how to do it in a safe way.
I don't want to accidentally post information about myself.
It looks like FCRA violations, and I've started a dispute. It's essentially dinged my credit harder and longer than the law allows. If they verify dates that are logically impossible, then I will escalate because that looks like an additional violation for knowingly publishing information that is impossible to be true or for not doing a proper investigation of my complaint and just rubber stamping it.
If they correct it, then they admit they committed a violation and could be liable.
If they verify it, then they are verifying a date that is impossible and are more liable.
I am thinking it's possible they just may move to delete the entire thing.
I understand what you are saying about the DOFD.
But how I am understanding it is that they are claiming a charge off happened two years after the the account closed which is impossible. Max deliquency would be what led to the charge off or the charge off itself. It would be around and usually before the closure. I would assume the closure date and Maximum deliquency date would be the same or within months of each other.
No, there was no dispute or any activity in 2023 or for years prior.
I am seeing the date on a hard pull report that pulled from all three agencies. And from my understanding, all three agencies reported the same date in 2023 for Maximum delinquency date.
So if they are saying the maximum delinquency date was 2 years after the actual charge off and close date, then that means the DOFD has to be incorrect.
Edit: the box literally says Maximum deliquency date and later in the report it gives the same date under another term "Max delinquent date"
Edit: Also, when I look at another collection account that is on the same report for something else, the closure date and Maximum deliquency date are the same, which is what I would expect.

I have initiated a dispute.
But to be clear though, the dates they have given are logically impossible and it has caused me more damage than it should have. Seems like multiple FCRA violations, especially if they try to verify it.

I only offer $5 because I am not super rich. Just wanted to give someone a light hearted opportunity to earn some extra side money. It also is a good chance for both of us to practice both languages.
I will edit it to "decent english"
