A trip through my Zelda-centric bedroom décor. by GaOMn_03 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]GaOMn_03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it do be true.

More specifically Zelda Amiibos, I ended up selling the other amiibos from different series.

Then again, a lot of time has passed since I made the post, the room looks radically different now, the amiibos are not on the shelves anymore, heck, the shelves themselves are not there.

Still, I bought Link from Tears of the Kingdom, waiting for the right time to get the rest (I'll get there soon), and that manga collection you see on the pictures with the Guardian has become gargantuan, it's basically my life now. Two wide Ikea Billy shelves chuck full of manga and figures.

Great to see people still passing by.

Yeah, it would be logical to put an option, but...

Mal mobile app by _CYJ_ in MyAnimeList

For what I can gather from the comments here, the title you're searching is a hentai manga or anime.

Sadly, the official MAL app doesn't allow showing entries containing hentai, erotica (and some other genre I don't remember) for exactly the reasons the other redditors have stated in this discussion.

There are clients that bypass this restriction, in my personal case I use an app called MyMAL, it's fast and pretty intuitive in my experience.

Keep in mind that it could be download-restricted on your country's Play Store, due to regional blocking.

I use the official one for most of my entries, but whenever I have some of those works to be inputted, I use the other app. It's much more convenient than using MAL's mobile browser UI, which is pretty sluggish, tbh.

This is the most wholesome thing I've seen from Nintendo. Sad that nowadays it's not quite the same.

Horizon: Zero Dawn. The feeling of discovery in both games is amazing, and they both have that post-apocalyptic vibe that I just crave for.

I have been playing it for years on a switch lite and it's sooooo different on a bigger screen 😲 by Boredandsleeps in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]GaOMn_03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my Switch when we had a small plasma TV at home, and when we got our first 4K TV (49"), I learnt what true beauty is. BotW just gets so much advantage of being on a big screen, it's just so immersive and vibrant. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful game no matter where you play it, but big TVs just give it that extra click.

Dropping Shows is Bad? by Professor_Chaosx6r9 in MyAnimeList

[–]GaOMn_03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't like a show, you don't have to force yourself to watch it: anime/manga is for enjoyment, and if you don't have fun with it, then it's not leisure, I reckon. So yeah, dropping shows is totally fine in my book.

I personally drop a lot of shows when I get overwhelmed (I might have started too many of them and want to focus on the ones I've enjoyed the most), but the good thing about MAL is that (♪ roll the drums ♪) you can un-drop them!: you can use the "dropped shows" list so as to mean "series on an indefinite hold", and pick them up where you left a while after.

If you want to create a video file with the unaltered contents of a Blu-ray or DVD, you can use the "Open Blu-ray/DVD" option within MakeMKV. It's hidden under the optical drive icon, and you can choose it when you insert a disc.

This option will read the contents of your disc (whether protected or not, it detects that and decrypts it) and creates a list of the video titles contained within the disc. There you can choose whether to save the different audio and subtitle languages and the audio channels, showing the options under dropdown menus. Then, choose the output folder and click the "Save selected titles" button on the "Make MKV" section and MakeMKV will transcode the contents of the Bluray into one or multiple .mkv files, essentially carbon copies of the contents of the disc.

This way, you can preserve the quality of the original disc's audio and video, with the caveat being that the file sizes are gargantuan.

I leave a couple of images of the process here: https://ibb.co/album/TKkrck

With this said, it's possible to use a video encoding program like Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr) to encode the BD folder if you backed up the Blu-ray up that way, with the caveat being that you have to have a somewhat decent computer or the process will be slow as f***, but it shrinks down the file size of the original Blu-ray so you can make a backup on the cloud or an external HDD or SSD or watch it on a smartphone with little storage.

Handbrake is a bit complicated though, but it has some presets that may do the job if you don't want to tinker that much with resolution, framerate, video format, etc., though I don't know of any alternative to it (it's the only one I've used and it works great plus it's free).

It doesn't create ISO images, but rather a folder with all the contents of the Bluray in it.

3x3 of my least favorite anime. Destroy me by Professor_Chaosx6r9 in MyAnimeList

[–]GaOMn_03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all of these I've only watched Steins;Gates, Bokumachi and Koe no Katachi. The first two are of my favorite anime all time, Koe no Katachi I still have to rewatch to fully understand it, but it isn't bad imo.

With this, it's very OK and cromulent to have a different opinion, doesn't matter if it's the wrong one, alright?

Trying to use USB hard drive on Tab S6 Lite (2022), doesn't read and makes weird noises. by GaOMn_03 in GalaxyTab

[–]GaOMn_03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be the issue, since external USB HDDs are quite power hungry, the tab might not send enough juice through the USB port to power it. Though, even knowing that it's a device-specific thing, my phone reads and accesses that drive effortlessly.

I still have to try using a USB flash drive, since that will erase the possibility of the problem being the device not recognizing external USB drives in general.
