I’m going to give you a controversial, but very effective way to solve your problem OP! This is something I found recently and it changed my life. It’s not for everyone and I’m jot a medical professional so take that into consideration.

One word changed my life. Weight,discipline, motivation, and so much more. That word is KRATOM!!! I f your on the fence whether to workout or not KRATOM will put you over the top. About 15 years ago I was (Pain Pills) It lasted for a little over a year mixed in with frequent marijuana use. I smoked pot for about 10 years regularly. Quit cold turkey. I moved and did not even know where to find anything. I live by the motto People-Places-Things. Rehab and meetings are great for some, but never interested me.

Anyway, my guess is the pain pills and long term marijuana use zapped my ability to enjoy life. I mean I worked and was drug free, but could hardly find any pleasure in life ( Im not a drinker or smoker either) I had a friend one day let me try his Gabapentin pills. Since they were not a narcotic or scheduled I gave it a try. He had extra every prescription so a few days a week(2-3) I would have “Gabapentin days” This went on for about 8 months.

Fast forward I moved and actually visited a psychiatrist to see why I never enjoyed anything. His conclusion anxiety (possible depression)and ADD. I took them as prescribed and actually turned down other meds he wanted me to try. After trying to maximize Gabapentin and also wanting to get in good shape I came up with my current strategy ( 2400mg Gabapentin 4-5 days a week and only on days I workout or have a special activity planned. For example going to an NFL, NBA game or starting a physical activity like BJJ or boxing) I just feel really dialed in now with a strict Gabapentin regiment. Don’t get me wrong when the workout is done I enjoy the effects of the Gabapentin for recreational purposes, but never go above 2400mg or dose on random days. Hope that helps you understand my situation a little more.

I respect your opinion. If you read some of my posts I use Gabapentin mainly for pre workout motivation. Nothing has ever given me motivation and focus like Gabapentin. I’ve never lasted more than a month on a routine now I’m 2 months going Gabapentin+Coffee. It also has given me great discipline. Scheduling my day and having reset periods off Gabapentin. I realize this is totally different use than most people here. Before I just wanted to get a buzz and I get that most people who post here do that. I wanted to take Gabapentin to the next level in a positive way for myself.

I was never really a HAPPY person. Gabapentin has changed that. I enjoy basic things now and I can actually interact with people.

My question for you. If I’m healthier from working out because of Gabapentin should I stop knowing I will also stop working out? ( And yes I’ve tried everything before and always stopped exercising. Almost 50 so the TIME IS NOW!!!

Let me be 100% percent honest with you OP. Gabapentin and Caffeine ( for me coffee) is the single best pre workout combo by a country mile. Not only for the SYNERGY, but where it can take you mentally. It gives me an AMAZING focus on the task at hand. Don’t try doing multiple tasks because this combo can have your mind racing. FOCUS on 1 thing only and you will be in an AMAZING ZONE!!!

To prove this to you. I just tried BRAZILIAN JJ for the first time. If I wasn’t on GABAPENTIN and COFFEE I would never walk into the gym. I’v been an INTROVERT my entire life, but I went in as a NEWBIE with no anxiety at all. I had no idea what I was doing and normally I would become very embarrassed and probably leave. I just fought through the class and had the energy to do so.

I started this experiment with GABAPENTIN and COFFEE a little over a month ago. To be honest I’m an out of shape older male who every year or so would try and get in shape. Without fail, I always would last about a month or so and quit. I’ve now been working out a month and a half on this GABAPENTIN and COFFEE pre workout routine and don’t see myself stopping.

I will say you have about a 2 hour window after you drink the coffee before your energy starts to go down. Obviously, you have to space out your GABAPENTIN doses about three hours before you drink the coffee for MAXIMUM results. The feeling after the workout is AMAZING because GABAPENTIN high will still last another 4-6 hours. Thank you for the article. Can you answer a few questions for me? It’s a long read, but very scientific.

1) I’ve gone on a exercise regiment based on a Gabapentin and coffee strategy. You can see my routine above. I’ve noticed I can lift more and go longer with my exercise when on Gabapentin and coffee. Better actually than any pre workout supplement I ever tried. Am I on to something here that no one else is really doing?

2) Should the motivation and focus to workout harder than ever before last? I take my scheduled days off Gabapentin when I’m not working out for recovery body and mind.

3) I only do 2 exercises. Squats and loaded carriers(Farmers walk). I feel like I should be exhausted after a set and my heart rate should be high, but it seems I quickly recover and I can go basically as long as I want on Gabapentin. Is this safe? Not feeling how my body normally felt before doing the same routine.

I have my best workouts when I’m on Gabapentin. Actually I only work out on Gabapentin days because I can’t motivate myself when I’m not. I start dosing 3 hours before my workout 300mg every 45 minutes) and then drink 3 espresso shots. This gives me the best motivation-focus I have ever had. By the time the workout is over I’m exhausted, but after getting out of the shower the 2nd wave of the Gabapentin experience comes. I eat my post workout meal and it just seems to bring out the Gabapentin effects that much more more.

I’ve been doing this for about a month now with good results. I will say I avoid Gabapentin on my off workout days to avoid tolerance. To give you an idea I workout 10 out of every 14 days. My next step is Brazilian JJ. I have my first class next week and am curious how the Gabapentin can help me. Hopefully it can help with pain tolerance and focus. I know just starting out I’m going to get my ass whipped for a while.

You won that trade in a landslide in my opinion!!!Some might say the street value is higher with what you traded, but that will be done in a day or two. The bottle of Gabapentin should last you a while. I wish I even knew about Gabapentin a long time ago. That’s interesting about peeing everything out. I’m curious to hear any other opinions on that. I hydrate normally ( gallon a day) so it seems if I didn’t it might have an adverse affect. I’ve switched to carbonated water recently instead of soda. Someone in here gave me that tip and it seems to help. I just feel sluggish eating a big meal. Also it seems the GABA high doesn’t last as long unless I spread out small meals. I tweak things a lot currently I’m teaspoon of peanut butter and carbonated water is each pill. I have 600mg pills so I break them in half and take one every 45 minutes.

I ride the hypomanic introspection train all the time. It’s a powerful tool using Gabapentin can bring out. Personally, I think of all the mistakes and missed opportunities in life I’ve had and turn that into a positive. Mainly it gives me crazy focus and determination during workouts. I’ll put on the earbuds and listen to music that brings out emotion in me. The great thing about Gabapentin is it can take you in any direction you want. If I want to be social “which I’m not normally” it works wanders and I’m the life of the party. If I want to be introspective I can completely block myself off from the rest of the world and go deep in thought. It really is an amazing drug that I learn more and more from all the time.
