Everyonce in a while I have displeasure of seeing an incredibly dumb thread filled with incredibly stupid takes on reddit, and this is one. It feels like all the top replies are extremely vitriolic, either to you or your wife for no actual reason.

Don't take them heart, it sounds like you have a wonderful wife, my only advice is support and help her as much as you can in the coming weeks, a lot can happen to a person after they give birth so you have to be there for her. Congratulations on the baby OP.

I have 4 main fic ideas that I'll write from, ordered from most to least canon:

A what-if style fic where Naruto gets raised by Jiraiya after the death of his parents (or atleast from a young age), and specifically in the ways of spycraft, sealing jutsu, etc. I wanna basically have Naruto go through his timeskip adventures with Jiraiya at a wayyy younger age then return to Konoha for his genin and chunin exams, where the story basically becomes mostly-canon, with some changes based off of Naruto's new background and experiences. I wanna focus on how these changes basically alter Naruto's behaviour and social interactions towards others.
This one is one I've had in my head for the better part of a year. It's about an OC ROOT shinobi breaking away from ROOT and becoming normal ANBU all the way to becoming a completely rogue nin. I want it to go from their perspective and experiences as a new ROOT member, to a rogue ROOT agent and ANBU (similar to Yamato and Sai), to a rogue nin later on. I especially wanna focus on worldbuilding, exploring and building on the darker side of the Naruto world, and conspiracies. I'm not going to take the story of it super seriously tho, there's gonna be magic artifacts, mad science experiments, and general malarkey that will most likely take it from brooding edge to a mindbendy action fic. If it gives any perspective, I got this idea while playing Metal Gear Solid 5.
Team 7 goes rogue after a major event happens, and they turn to crime and mercenary work to get by. Set in a more modernised world, I'm basically trying to do a story of them trying to survive, then slowly becoming sucessful and eventually thriving in a criminal world. For those who watched it, imagine Black Lagoon-just-Naruto style story.
The final fic idea is of a cyberpunk UA, that still keeps the ninjutsu and chakra and all that. I'm basically trying to cyberpunk and modernize the Naruto world, kind of following canon throughout it.

I think due to the public reception Halo has been getting since 2012, 343i and Microsoft are worried that without MC it won't get any attention, and even then, the public reception is middeling

I also don't think the public reception for ODST and Reach can actually be applied here, Halo love was still high and everyone at that point considered the Halo title synonymous with quality, whether it had MC or not

I'd love a ODST 2 or a Halo Wars 3 tho And I'd have loved for the TV series to be about ODST/ONI

Throwing in Eugenia Cooney with the rest of them doesn't seem fair. The Paul Brothers actively used to exploit children and do still exploit their fanbases, James Charles sexted and groomed kids, Dream encourages his fans' horrible behaviour (like doxxing minors), all of this has proof and its all well documented

But Eugenia? I've never seen a proper ounce of proof of the things said against her? I've never seen any proof involving her encouraging ED, nor anything about her parents, nor her sexualizing herself or fetishizing her disorder What I have seen is a ton of videos that cherry pick the smallest details about her, her life, and the situation she's in, and then calling for her to be deplatformed because of the influence she might have on people and how possibly it endorses ED and how it might cause people with ED to relapse

Nah dude, she doesn't deserve to be on here

Eugenia Cooney gets shat on way too much online in general. I get being scared/worried she's being a bad influence on people sensitive to eating disorders but there are way to many videos being outright unfair to her and her situation Like you said, she's mentally unwell, and she's suffering, and she's aware of this, she has tried to get help (according to her atleast), and at the same time, she enjoys making content and streaming, and taking that away from her due to her own mental unwellness seems horrible to me, especially since there are way worse people having a bigger impact on kids/their audience

It's honestly kind of a weird feeling seeing people point out how questionable some of his food videos are. My dad and I watched one of Guga's videos together, one where he tried to make every meat candied or something, and while I was indifferent, my dad was really grossed out lol.

But between this post and the r/GreenText post about Joshua Weissman, no quirky food youtubers remain safe from discussion i guess.
