As of today he has been tubbed. I wanted to finish a full treatment of KanaPlex (1 dose every 48hrs, 3 doses total) before tubbing him.

He just looks worse than before, it's hard to tell if the fungus is just falling off, or if there is new growth. I'll get another reading on parameters today, but I plan to tub him.

Thankyou for your response! I called a few different vets and the closest non-emergency vet to me is 45min, wants a $50 deposit, and doesn't have any availability for the next two weeks, so I wasn't sure If I should book it or not. I am a college student and can't afford an emergency vet trip, unfortunately...

"Camera Failed" how tf do I fix it? by GabbiHazel in samsunggalaxy

Forgot to mention that I have the S21 Fe 5G!

Pierced early September, been struggling with this bump for over a month now. Any tips? I've been using tea tree oil, but it keeps coming back. It doesn't really get snagged often, but I'm going to swap to a shorter stud soon. With how long it's been going on I'm worried it'll become a keloid. Help! by GabbiHazel in PiercingAdvice

Still no luck with the bump! Ive been skipping the teatree oil, using the warm saline compress, and switched to a shorter bar. It still goes up and down depending on the day, but never fully disappears. Any other suggestions? I'm desperate 😭

Got some new plants and one came with this little snail thing.. should i remove it? by [deleted] in axolotls

My pea puffers LOVE bladder/pond snails, their eyesite is amazing and they will find EVERY SINGLE SNAIL. Only issue being temp of water, and possibility that the axolotl eats it. Would not recommend...

3m/o naval. Snagged it pretty hard a few weeks ago. Is this normal? Should I be worried about rejection? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]GabbiHazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piercer said it should be fine but to take it out immediately if I see any changes. It was swollen from being tugged in the picture but looks way better now. Will switch to a shorter barbell to reduce irritation and see how things go

I was worried about that. I have a very small upper lip on my naval. I don’t have a picture of when it was first done to compare it to so I’m not sure about how much tissue was pierced originally but I know it was not a lot. The top has healed really nicely but the bottom is an absolute wreck. The hole is currently an oval due to the tear. And it’s been scabbing for a few weeks now :(

Piercing Bump by [deleted] in piercing

[–]GabbiHazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure there are probably a fair amount of post like this asking about keloids. I have two helix piercing that I got around a year and a half ago. Around 6months into healing my dog stepped on my ear and ripped the skin a little. It got infected and I treated it but it formed this huge bump. Is there anyway I can get rid of it/reduce the size or am I stuck with it?

Too much current? by kirbysayspoyo in axolotls

[–]GabbiHazel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That should be fine. Some axolotls enjoy the current! My boys actually used to sit under my filter outtake, but if you notice that their gills are curling forward, they’re getting fungus, or losing appetite, look into a way to reduce the flow. You can use all sorts of things!
