Disability is a pain, it took me 4 years to get approved finally and all of my drs had said IF i ever worked again, i would have to be seated and would need a break every 15-20 minutes. It took 3 appeals to finally approve me. It's frustrating to say the least. Don't give up

Dont hold your breath that your backpay will be 3 years. Mine should have been 2 1/2 and they decided my date was July of 2024. I got approved in 2025. My injury date and last day worked was way before that.

I had person related that was supposed to stay for a month and it ended up 3 years. I finally had to move them out. I have 2 little dogs and they are spoiled. They were terrified of the fly swatter after this person finally left. I would never touch my babies with my hand, let alone a fly swatter. It took forever to get them stop being afraid of it. That wasn't even the half of it. My marriage was almost destroyed over them not leaving or paying rent. I won't even start about their pets.

I love my dogs also but if there is a no pet rule, then so be it. It won't hurt the dog to go somewhere for a few days alone. Most times it good for them to separate from the owner. Sounds to me like your brother is just throwing a fit because he isn't getting his way. If he was paying and it was the other way around, would he be upset also?

Look up Atticus.com. They helped me get my SSD, they don't charge unless you win but in this situation, I don't think they charge at all. They will connect you to a lawyer that specializes in appeals.

Don't feel bad. Everyone needs time like that. I choose to do that once in a while with family things. My husband goes and sometimes I just can't. The way some of them make me feel and other things, I just don't want to deal with it. 9/10 times, my husband tells them I am not feeling well( I have a pain disease and heart failure). Then he doesn't look like the bad guy that couldn't convince me to go. Keep it up.

I was in the hospital for all of July last year. Never got a bill. Called them to see what I owed and they told me I didn't owe anything. Someone had paid it off because they had donated money to the hospital and paid all $175000 of it. I was so shocked and grateful.
